Both are likely true.
Mark Buehrle was a fine pitcher but he doesn't deserve a statue.
Frank Thomas deserves a statue, if he doesn't have one already.
Honestly so many of the best White Sox players had their careers before color TV. I wouldn't really build statues for any of those guys.

Naaa…it seems like Pete isn’t getting the offers he thought he would elsewhere and I think they’ll eventually come to an agreement even after watching this video.
Cohen kept it real, didn’t rule out re-signing and his words about how tough it’s been sounds like an indictment on Scott Boras more than anything.
Watch Pete fire Boras after this contract is signed the same way Jordan Montgomery did last year.
With the way Cohen's handed out contracts, his words hold weight. So if he says the negotiations with Alonso are awful, I believe him.
