Amen Thompson is the riskiest prospect I’ve ever loved. So many red flags but I’m riding with him. I think he can really be special. But there’s no middle ground for him. He’s either show some insane flashes and be incredible from the jump, or be a quick bust ( :dame: )
I really wish he went to college or G League.

the west will straighten itself out next season at the top, while the middle is still random

It's probably gonna be OKC making the major leap while a couple of teams age out and drop off.

Denver, Memphis and OKC are the only three that barring injury I can't see them outside of the top 6.

then it's Phoenix/LAC/LAL/GS to see which old team falls off first

Kings might be safer in the top 6 but they gotta show it's not a fluke.

Spurs and Blazers wind up as play-in teams with the Pelicans trying to get in.

Utah and Houston load up on more young talent while Dallas by February is gonna be listening to every Luka to NY trade rumor.
I agree with most of this except I think Nola could be next year’s sacramento/Memphis. They kinda were when Zion was healthy. Zion has that type of Ja, Jokic talent advantage where night in night out, without the ability to gameplan for them in a fast moving season, they’re gonna be hard as hell to beat

Also if Houston signs harden to run the show , and Pat bev for get nggas heads right, with Ime at coach, they are as talented as anyone. I’d bump them up to play in status

To your point tho, that’s damn near the whole west. Somebody is gonna seriously fall off. If LA just runs it back it could be them. And I see the clippers so what surprising as just a .500 team.

Same. That OTE stuff is making it really hard to tell what’s real and what’s not. But he had 6 games against some overseas pro teams and his numbers were solid. Right now I’m just trusting my eyes and gut on him. Him going to OTE is the perfect storm for a player that should be top 2 falling further than he should. I think he has the highest upside outside of Wemby

The draft guide that the Athletic made is the most thorough, yet joyless piece of draft media I ever saw outside of a stat sheet. It’s 180 pages long but I’m assuming that level of in-depth analysis is what professional scouts have to do for a living. It’s also notable because damn near each profile starts by talking about who the kids parents and siblings are. There is so much info you could forget the point is to find someone who can put a ball into a hoop.
