Has the Scoot hype gotten out of control? I don’t think he’s a Rose/Morant prospect.. and I definitely wouldn’t trade Zion for him.

I don’t think he is either but I’d still trade Zion for him because I don’t think Zion will ever get it together in New Orleans and he’s forever injured. I don’t see Scoot ever being that first option carry the team on his back type of guy.

If Zion is getting swapped for him it ain’t cuz of talent.
What helps Scoot out is that he been around grown men for a couple of years now and ain’t been caught up in no bullshyt and the PG crop thins out big time after this year

I like Scoot. Another GA boy from right down the way. I think he’s great. But I 100% think the hype has gotten overblown when it comes to him on draft twitter. They’ve dubbed him Derrick Rose with CP3’s mind and I just don’t see that. I do think he has great upside and has the potential to be a top 5 pg in the league, but I think nikkas putting him in a tier of his own under Wemby is doing too much. I don’t think Brandon Miller is so significantly below him that it’s insane for the Hornets to draft him like the draft analysis’ consensus would say. To me, I see him being Donavon Mitchell with better lead guard skills. Which is a great player

How much better than Ivey is he to you? I think he’s better for sure (better passer by a good bit, better jumper from midrange). But I think Ivey clears him as an athlete. For whatever that’s worth

Amen Thompson is the riskiest prospect I’ve ever loved. So many red flags but I’m riding with him. I think he can really be special. But there’s no middle ground for him. He’s either show some insane flashes and be incredible from the jump, or be a quick bust (
