I think Ivey is a little more explosive, but scoot's definitely stronger and just plays with more deliberate pace

I think there’s a large possibility Brandon Miller lands at 4 to the Rockets. All the Scoot chatter has overshadowed Brandon. I don’t know how much these teams like him.

That requires Portland pass him up in favor of another guard. You think they take Amen Thompson or Whitmore straight up or trade the pick to a team aiming for Amen or Whitmore?

Gradey on merit should go 6th since he's unquestionably the best shooter (I wouldn't even be THAT mad if Detroit took him at 5), but some teams want upside at everything else than the sure thing at something needy. On the real, Gradey at 6 would be prudent just because the land mines at 7, 9 and 10 are there. Someone else will slip and Orlando is a clusterfukk as it is, so if they can consolidate, they should.


Maybe a plan should be to shop 11. 11 for 20, BK's 2027 first and 2 2's or if they wanna punt out altogether, 11 for Hartenstein and Milwaukee's 2025 first.

The Austin Reaves of this draft is gonna be Justin Powell from WSU. I can see him getting a two way immediately (I'd draft him) and he goes to Summer League and torches everyone and gets a 4 year deal.

I think it’d be for Amen but I could see it either or. I’m really starting to think Portland will end up trading the pick and I think it will be to Toronto. With with Van Fleet leaving, I can see them valuing a PG, even tho I don’t like Scottie with Amen honestly. I just haven’t seen any Brandon miller workout information not directly tied to scoot. Haven’t heard any “x team wants Brandon miller” talk other than Charlotte and I’m starting to think that might be a smoke screen. If Portland keeps the pick, Miller fits better imo but who knows. I think Orlando’s secrecy last learn has made me paranoid

I think Amen Thompson is being overlooked. Or, overthought might be a better way to say it. The last 2 athletic freaks projected high were Jalen green and Anthony Edwards. Edwards I gonanbe a star and green at LEAST is gonanbe a perennial 20 point scorer

With thompaon he has that ability PLUS legit PG skills. The more I watch the more I see him as a ‘1b’ on equal footing as Scoot and Miller.

But i’d still take them ahead bc their comps are more straight forward.

Scoot = Russ/Ja/rose
Miller = PG
Amen = an aggressive Lonzo, bouncier Tyreke Evans, Jalen green w/ less scoring more passing

The draft guide that the Athletic made is the most thorough, yet joyless piece of draft media I ever saw outside of a stat sheet. It’s 180 pages long but I’m assuming that level of in-depth analysis is what professional scouts have to do for a living. It’s also notable because damn near each profile starts by talking about who the kids parents and siblings are. There is so much info you could forget the point is to find someone who can put a ball into a hoop.
