deion followed the mel tucker blueprint a bit: they both were black head coaches hired at colorado, first 'Tuck was coming' and then Deion said 'I'm coming;' mel tucker used the transfer portal to get kenneth walker III and a bunch of others win against michigan, deion then used the transfer portal to the extreme and overturned the whole roster similar to texas state and a few others. i'm pretty sure they talked or deion just loosely followed what mel did that worked

2016 - 11th
2015 - 9th

That's like an avg of the #8 class year in and year out. What are you talking about fam? That's still an embarrassment of riches.

Not to mention, they play in a weak conference as far as recruiting goes. The only one in the ACC that consistently rivaled them in terms of talent was FSU. Clemson has benefitted more than anyone from weak competition.

4 years ago Mel Tucker left Colorado in the middle of the night completely embarrassing their University. Colorado hit rock bottom and MSU was on the rise. Crazy how things can flip in an instant of poor and good decision making
