This is what happens when a state legislature passes a bill in order to protect the football program

I think the top 10 guys on that list can all have good seasons. 25-30 TDs and 7-10 int type seasons
What value does gassing that conference do for you? You nikkas don’t need the SEC to be perceived as some holistically stellar juggernaut to succeed :unimpressed:

PAC 12 might have 6 QBs go before you take Jefferson.

college recruiting such a roll of the dice man

Stidham knew he made the wrong decision going to Tech. kinda knew he wasnt gonna beat out Pat Mahomes

but he did pull off this W

It’s easy to think here about Emmitt Smith, the NFL’s leading rusher who toyed with Nebraska before picking Florida on signing day in 1987. It makes sense, too, to consider Lamar Jackson, the 2019 NFL MVP and 2016 Heisman winner at Louisville who could have worn the scarlet and cream if the Huskers had pegged him as a QB out of high school.

Before Jeffery officially committed to the Gamecocks, then-Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin famously told him that if he picked South Carolina, he’d end up pumping gas for the rest of his life.

Of course you want you kid to pick his own path but damn NC State
Will Shipley
To say that Shipley, a five-star Class of 2021 running back from Weddington, N.C., is from an NC State family would be an understatement. His parents graduated from NC State, and 26 family members on his mom’s side also have a degree from the university.

O.J. flew in, and one of the (ASU) coaches was there to meet him when he got off the plane. They were kind of chit-chatting, and O.J. needed to go to the bathroom. He goes into the bathroom, and the SC guy that was in the airport went into the bathroom and intercepted O.J. in the men’s room. And after that, I don’t even think they made it to (ASU’s) campus.

didnt know Trevor Lawrence was a Tennessee fan
The lifelong, die-hard Vols fan did not become a Vols player. He went on to national championship and No. 1 pick glory at Clemson, instead. He threw in college to Tee Higgins, who was at one point committed to the Vols. There was talk that Lawrence was also a “soft commit” at one point to UT, and there’s been plenty of blame directed toward Butch Jones for bungling a recruitment that should have been a slam dunk.

Melvin Gordon, RB
This one leaves a mark. A big one. Gordon reiterated multiple times he was “100 percent committed” to Iowa early in the 2010 season after the Hawkeyes were coming off an 11-2 season and No. 7 final ranking. A Kenosha, Wis., native, Gordon continued to stay committed after home state Wisconsin edged Iowa 31-30 in a battle of top-15 teams. But after a last-minute Ohio State win against the Hawkeyes, Gordon flipped to the Badgers and altered the fortunes of the longtime rivals.
In 2014, Gordon rushed for a Big Ten record 2,587 yards, including a single-game mark of 408 yards (in three quarters no less), and became a unanimous first-team All-American. He led Wisconsin to three divisional titles and the 2012 Big Ten championship. The Badgers beat Iowa every time Gordon played, including 264 total yards in a 28-26 thriller in his final Iowa City appearance in 2014. Wisconsin advanced to the Big Ten title game three times and won 13 more games overall and eight more Big Ten contests than Iowa during Gordon’s four seasons.

This dude should be the face of white privilege.

Sucked as a player. Given ND OC job in his 20's with no previous experience.

Gets Bama OC job despite being mediocre as a coach and recruiter. Now being mentioned as a HC candidate before coaching a game there.

And Brian was trying to get him to lsu, i don’t understand the hype outside he’s white and young

Kids will watch dudes go to the nfl from multiple schools, but will sign up to go to Bama, uga, osu to rot on a bench behind 12 other top ten kids at their position, followed by another 2-3 coming every year after they get there, and either graduate with no real stats, or accolades and maybe get drafted. Rather than pick another school and start from day one.

Most of these stories are cute on the surface but they never were going to happen, Trevor was never going to Tenn unless they got their money up and brought in talent
