He's here to recruit, specifically to recruit the NOLA area. (He's a recruiting beast.) Other than blowing the whistle during drills, he ain't doing no coaching. I think of him as the bagman on staff.
Purdue was 5-3 before they beat the Spartans and three of those wins were needing a late TD to beat Illinois, needing a late TD to beat Nebraska, and needing two late TDs to beat Oregon State. Yeah they beat overrated Iowa (who then proceeded to get washed by Wisconsin and barely survive Northwestern) but they also lost to Minny.
That was an ugly loss for MSU by any measure.
p.s. - and Purdue was averaging 19ppg outside of the UConn game so STFU about their offense.

MSU my guys, but we are a borderline top ten team at best. We beat a perennially overrated Michigan team and struggled with them and any team with a pulse.
OSU, take them no mater how many points they’re giving up bc they’re beating us like 42-17
