App. St. is usually good. Period. Especially after the Michigan upset , hardly no Power teams would schedule App. App fell off a tad for a bit, but they’d constantly be ranked in the top three or 4 programs in the state weekend and week out. Mind you, NC is not really a football state. But when NC State was extra, extra garbage and Duke was still its perpetual mediocre self and UNC remained in mediocrity and Wake not even on the radar, there’d be weeks where local sportscasters would rank App as the best team in the state. :mjlol: ... say what you want, despite the mediocrity, you had experts still placing them over Power schools.

Here’s the deal with that PSU game and those like it (and this is partly why I said the B1G looks weak), many coaches will run vanilla offenses and defenses week 1 when playing “lesser comp.” However, the trenches and depth are supposed o make up for that and lead to the separation and score cushion happening at least by the 4th... a Power team that can’t bully an FCS team in the trenches and can’t get that separation and by 4th has some real issues ... definitely in terms of playoff aspirational type teams.

They lost to Georgia last year 31-10 but it was respectable due to what Georgia did last year

This goes to my point about teams getting caught up. shyt it happened to FSU against Troy years ago. It's not that they are so good against big programs, it's just that said programs typically take them for granted. Good for their level of competition. If you could put them in a conference against the big boys they will come in dead last almost every year.

Kansas was only a seven point favorite. That in itself should tell you something. The program needs to be reevaluated.

Let’s say circumstantially good against Power teams ... they’ve usually held their own. Again , when it’s getting into the 4th and you can’t knock FCS schools off the ball consistently and impose your will, with 4-5 star recruits on both sides of the ball, you gotta tip your cap to that FCS squad. Period.

Can someone explain why Hurts returned to Bama, that shyt makes no sense. Be true unto yourself...Tua is clearly better, Jalen has to know it. Go somewhere else, ball out, and try to make the league...
Saban gave him every chance to be the starter he was the #1 QB all through camp and everything

And Jalen is graduating in December so he'll be able to go anywhere next year and play right away no matter how much he plays this year so it actually made a lot more sense to stay
