Pelicans don't have a 1st round pick this year...goes to Houston in the Asik deal :francis:

to add, their 2017 pick won't have much value if the Pelicans are a playoff/contending team by then
Ok how about James Young, Avery Bradley, Isiah Thomas and Celtics pick

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Whats the best trade scenario for both sides you can come up with including the Knicks 4th pick?

Knicks would be better off keeping the 4th, there's nothing they can get with it that would be worthwhile because of the fact they have no assets outside of it.

Nah. If I'm trading the 4th pick in this draft it better bring back at least an All-Star caliber player. Especially since the Knicks are in a huge market...

I feel u. I mean IT put up 20+ a game in the playoffs. I think the Celtics would prob need to throw Sullinger in there to sweeten the deal. I mean the Knicks need help everywhere and this would give them some young depth. That's my justification of it anyway :manny:

You right you right. I'm just having fun out here though. There was rumors they were gonna trade it. I don't know how true that is and we still don't really know what kind of exec Phil really is but ya, they most likely keep it, I'm just bored

The fact they're close in height, and one guy is being billed as a PF, while the other is a Center is exactly why Towns is viewed as having the higher ceiling.

first of all, who said towns didn't have the heigher ceiling? given the choice, i'd prolly take towns #1 as well. but your reasoining is stupid. no one is saying we gotta take towns above okafor because okafor is not a legit 7 foot center. towns is going #1 because he's more athletic and has a better shot right now. towns weaknesses can be taught while jahlil's arguably can't.

okafor (even if he hasn't grown an inch since the hoops summit) is the same size and wingspan as Demarcus Cousins. a guy most would say is probably the best center in the league or if not, in the top 2 or 3. i don't see why jahlil can't AT LEAST duplicate cousin's success individually in the league so far. this ain't chuck hayes we talkin bout. his size is more than adequate for the position.

Did you even look at your link? He was measured at 6'11" in shoes for Team USA in 2013 and 6'10.75" a year later at the Hoop Summit in 2014, which was right before the start of Duke's season.

Also your pic is not a good one because of the fact they're wearing dress shoes, unless they both have on the same shoes height can vary wildly. Most importantly, look at how Towns looked next to Embiid -

His eyes line up with Joel's nose and Joel grew an inch after that pic was taken.

Karl at his size is a big PF, Okafor is not a big center at his size, he's the same size as Boogie :yeshrug:

For comparison, how does okafor compare to Tim Duncan's size? Are they comparable?

nikkas in here really beefing over whether jah is 6'11" vs 7'0" and that if he was 7'0" he'd have a higher ceiling? really? GTFOHWTBS. Dude is going to be somewhere between 6'11" and 7'0" with long arms and a fitter body than he's had in years. Dude will beast at the center position.
