thats the lastest measurement we have for either player. if that is accurate, then Okafor could be 6'11" barefoot now. that would make him 7" in shoes. essentially the same size at Bogut when he came into the league.

okafor looked a solid inch taller than towns at the lottery when they stood side by side. if okafor is still 6'9.5" barefoot, does that make towns 6'8.5"?

Did you even look at your link? He was measured at 6'11" in shoes for Team USA in 2013 and 6'10.75" a year later at the Hoop Summit in 2014, which was right before the start of Duke's season.

Also your pic is not a good one because of the fact they're wearing dress shoes, unless they both have on the same shoes height can vary wildly. Most importantly, look at how Towns looked next to Embiid -

His eyes line up with Joel's nose and Joel grew an inch after that pic was taken.

Karl at his size is a big PF, Okafor is not a big center at his size, he's the same size as Boogie

Except for the fact the 7'1" Marshall Plumlee towers over him.


He's not a 7 footer, why are you trying to paint him out as one, especially when the guys I'm talking about are 7 footers WITHOUT shoes.

They look the same height. Prob about 6'11 in shoes. In today's NBA Towns gonna play C but he can play some PF. Cal made him go down low but his jumper was wet at times. Will be interesting to see just how developed those perimeter skills are.

The fact they're close in height, and one guy is being billed as a PF, while the other is a Center is exactly why Towns is viewed as having the higher ceiling.
