Brandon Myers goes to the Giants.

:smh: fukk this GM.

:childplease: Myers been way overrated. shyt most of his catches came in garbage time and he was the worst blocking tight end in the game last season. He ain't no Zach Miller so I could care less about Brandon Myers :comeon:

Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie is obviously a humanitarian, and an optimist.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Raiders have given linebacker Rolando McClain’s agent permission to seek a trade to get him out of Oakland.

In other news, I just gave my recycling bin permission to roll itself out to the curb tomorrow morning.

The Raiders obviously have no use for McClain, having signed three linebackers already in free agency. There’s also the small matter of having been suspended two games for conduct detrimental to the team as well as multiple off-field incidents.

But if they needed more reason, the fact he never delivered on his on-field promise would suffice. The former eighth-overall pick has been a disappointment, and they were expected to release him anyway.

Which they will likely do when they realize nobody’s going to give up much for him.
:obama: Finally get rid of this bum. Hopefully can secure a 6th rounder out of him somehow at the very least.

The Raiders announced they have added another defensive lineman to their free agency haul this off-season. They have signed DT Vance Walker who started eight games for the Falcons last season at defensive end and defensive tackle.
The 6-foot-2, 305-pound Walker, entering his fifth NFL season, has played in 58 career games with 11 starts, totaling five sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery since entering the league as the Falcons' seventh-round draft choice (210th overall) in 2009.
Walker had 32 combined tackle and 3.0 sacks last season in his nine starts last season. Those are all career highs for the four-year veteran. He was originally a round seven draft pick by the Falcons out of Georgia Tech.
"Vance Walker is a terrific rotational defensive tackle," said Dave Choate of The Falcoholic. "He gets into the backfield well, has nice pass-rushing instincts and is no slouch against the run. I don't know that he has the talent to be a starter, but trying it out wouldn't hurt given his intriguing blend of skills. Walker was universally beloved in Atlanta for his attitude and play, so you're getting a very useful player and locker room presence."
The Raiders are hoping Walker can replace Desmond Bryant who signed with the Cleveland Browns on the first day of free agency.
This makes a total of six free agent signings for the Raiders this off-season - all on the defensive side of the ball. He joins defensive end Jason Hunter, and Pat Sims as the third defensive lineman signed by the team. The other three signings were linebackers.

Kevin Burnett was cut when the Dolphins paid big money to steal Philip Wheeler away from the Raiders. The moment Burnett came available, he instantly became the top rated free agent linebacker according to Pro Football Focus.
If Burnett plays well for the Raiders, it would not be the first time this happened with Miami. The Dolphins signed Jack Grove as a free agent and dumped Samson Satele. The Raiders signed Satele and he has continued to have a solid career while Grove flopped out of the league.
Burnett, 30, has started every single game the past three seasons with the Chargers and Dolphins. His tackle numbers have gone up every season (95, 103,109). Heh as played outside linebacker in the Dolphins' 4-3 the past two seasons and was a 3-4 linebacker in San Diego prior to that.
Kevin’s brother, Kaelin, currently plays for the Raiders.
Some have suggested the signing of Kevin Burnett means the Raiders are leaning toward a 3-4 defense. This thinking comes from the fact that the Raiders now have four possible starting linebackers. They already had Miles Burris who started ever game at weakside linebacker last season. They have added three linebacker this off-season in Burnett, Kaluka Maiava, and Nick Roach.
Plus, we got Roach too on the team. We finally have some depth on defense for our front 7. It looks like we are going to rebuild the secondary through the draft. Everything seems smooth so far with the rebuild.

He's going to have a serious problem getting off blocks as long as Kelly is around.

Still don't have a NT whether Kelly stays or goes. Wish we had gotten Knighton, then drafted a DE, kick Houston down to the 3, and hope we can get a pass rush.
