Chances are she was making the same or less than him.
There's nothing wrong with a woman wanting a man on her level, black women are the only women who are told to settle for less.
You don't hear Asian fathers telling their daughters to stick with the man making less than her because he may be a great doctor one day. If she is a doctor he wants her with a doctor or similar. If she is working in the corner store he wants her with a man working at the corner store across the street.

Exactly this is not an issue that affects most black women because most black women are not in high earning positions. This is almost a non-issue because the average black woman will wind up with the average black man.

Breh what does this convo have to do with black men dating out. Why don't you skate with your subtle anti-black women rhetoric :camby:Always making slick comments.

what is her "level"
80% of black kids are born out of wedlock, is that th elevel we are are talking about?

instead of focusing on choosing a quality person in terms of characteristics, black women look at $$, prestige , swag etc.

I just mentioned black men dating out because its funny ive never had a problem dating any white woman regardless of her career, only seems with black women i gotta have 3 fancy letters after my name if they are on a certain level.

yes he does

because for almost a year and half my brother in law was unemployed and my sister was the only one working.
See marriage is a loving union with ups and downs, there is we and not the us mentality.

Instead of this man is only making 40k, it should be we are making 110k together but these broads dont think of it that way. But for the broads that do, they got the ring on teh finger, they got the baby kicking in the belly, they get teh respect and lovea nd admiration.

So your brother in law works his 125,000 K job, comes home and handles the majority of the domestic work (Cleaning and cooking and so forth while dealing with the kids) and he's ok with that?

:patrice:

Good for him. He's a better man than me because I damn sure ain't coming home to cook and clean if I'm the primary provider in the house. :manny:

I'm all about fair. If I'm making the money and you ain't working then my house better be looking great if you my wife.

If we're both working and I'm making more but we're building, I'll still expect you to handle more of the domestic duties but I will chip in around the house.

And so forth.

I'm 28 and my day job pays me 74k.

I couldn't IMAGINE, in a MILLION YEARS, turning down a nice, smart, supportive, attractive woman, who makes 40k a year, just because she makes 40k a year.

Salary discrepancies should only be if one person makes more than double, because that denotes a lifestyle difference.

A man making 40k to a woman making 120k? The man got lucky.

A man making 120k to a woman's 40k? Brehette lucked up.

But if a brehette's clowning a guy making $18/hr and she makes $24/hr? Thats that bullshyt. I see that ALL the time. Ain't neither one of y'all doing it big enough to be disqualifying any body, so cut it out. :camby:

I got a story like that. This chick was dating this dude and he was making 8/hr and she was making 9.50/hr then she got promoted and made 11/hr and dumped the guy she was with because he made 8.50/hr cause she felt "deserved better." She the. got with a guy making $26/hr and she went broke/in debt trying to one up him because he made more than she did, and when she got promoted to making $20/hr, she broke up with him because she felt like she could do better(even though she made less money). Shorty pulled those moves for years.

Fast forward to today and shes been tossed around by the whole neighborhood/neighbor city, no real dude that knows her will cuff her up cause they know how she gets down, and the dude she's with now had been locked in the friend zone for years, doesn't work, has 6 figure debt, no car, and even uses her car and cheats on her while she at work. :snoop:

Meanwhile, all her old dudes who weren't good enough: The $8/hr man is in an MBA program, working in Finance and married to a newly christened lawyer(who I KNOW is a good woman), and the $22/hr guy is engaged to a pharmacist(who's been consigned by EVERYBODY and treats him great), so on and so forth, but let her tell it they're no good and she was confused and needed to find herself etc etc.

You need to keep that shyt off television and in the house, noone wants that aired out. :smh:

I responded because I wanted to. :stopitslime: I don't need to be asked.

It takes two to tango.
You are on the #GetMarriedBrehs tip and so are many other black men, that is why so many black children are born out of wedlock.
And GTFOH with you anti-black women BS, or perhaps I should say your anti-black men BS, because according to you black women are not choosing quality partners, even though most black women wind up with black men. Are you saying most black men are not of good quality? :sas1:
Black men love to talk about how easy it is for them to get women of other races but never talk about how hard it is for them to keep those women. What's the IR divorce rate for black men in Canada? :sas2:

So you do think their (the men in this thread) example of a woman making 80K and a guy making 30K or less is unreasonable. Yeah I do too.

Black men in graduate programs have NO trouble finding women. NONE what so ever so y'all are just making things up. School is the easiest place to find a like minded partner.

Please show me where have I promoted children out of wedlock? I'm sure I coined the phrase fatherless fakkits on this board. I'm all for blissful relationships and even strong marriages built on stability, love, principles and values.

Me bashing black women? the only women I care about and love are black so miss me with that. I'm saying a large segment of black women continue to canoodle and cavort with waste nikkaz.

Divorce rates are high for anyone, no statistics on ir divorce regarding black men in canada, there are only 450k black me in canada and most are married to black women, yeah many will sleep with and even date a white woman but at teh end of the day :sas2:

A single woman needs more money than a single man.

That oil change? It costs 20 for a man to do, but a woman is going to pay 45 because she can't do it herself. If she had a man, it would cost her 20, or maybe even nothing.

That leaky faucet? $100/hr for a plumber that she has to call. A man in the house and that sink is fixed for half that.

The lawn? $50/month, unless her husband handles all that, then she doesn't have to spend a dime.

Babysitter? Electrical repairs? Bug/Insect Killings? Men are valuable. Even though society says otherwise, you've got to come out of pocket for those services as a single woman.

dont worry brehs if your not "good" enough for these black women, there are oodles and oodles of other women out there willing to welcome you with open arms, but then if you do that and you climb up their ladder, then you are a sellout
