A single woman needs more money than a single man.
That oil change? It costs 20 for a man to do, but a woman is going to pay 45 because she can't do it herself. If she had a man, it would cost her 20, or maybe even nothing.
That leaky faucet? $100/hr for a plumber that she has to call. A man in the house and that sink is fixed for half that.
The lawn? $50/month, unless her husband handles all that, then she doesn't have to spend a dime.
Babysitter? Electrical repairs? Bug/Insect Killings? Men are valuable. Even though society says otherwise, you've got to come out of pocket for those services as a single woman.
I don't know any man in the 21st century doing ANY of those things himself. Most people, regardless of gender, are at instant oil change places.
You are talking about skills that men in the older generation (like my dad) has.
