Pretty much inevitable at this point.
But, like you said, it's great from a marketing standpoint. Silver clearly has his eyes on the overseas market and knows that making the NBA more international will be good for ratings and sales. And it's not like those players are not skilled in their own right.
It makes the common claim of the NFL having less of a "Black" identity than the NBA less true as the years go by though. The NFL might ironically remain majority Black American longer than the NBA as time goes on. Go figure.
The NFL game is just such a vibe.
I said it in another thread NFL just got that brash and playful ignorance to it to be honest. It's American shyt.
It ain't about being ratchet or ignorant, but culturally the NFL atmosphere is loose because it's still primarily an American event with alcohol.
Even the replies to that tweet are people having fun and enjoying it.
It's an American event for Americans with American culture. Even immigrants who come to America adopt the NFL as part of their culture.
It's honestly more of a party/concert/festival/big event for adults.
I honestly think because the NFL got a vibe like this where everything is out in the open and everybody can point fingers at each other that it's pretty much accepted that it is what it is. This is how it gets down. I mean you got an NFL stadium straight up throwing pool parties up in the stands.
