Does anyone have any experience with agoraphobia/anxiety (not the "attacks", just like general and social anxiety)?
You should research Pyroluria. It's a genetic condition that causes abnormally high amounts of zinc and b6 being dumped from the brain during stressful situations, causing extreme anxiety/agoraphobia, and an irrational fear and uncomfortable feeling around groups of people. B6 deficiency can/will cause extreme social anxiety. Social anxiety and introversion mirror Pyroluria. Coincidence? Maybe, but Trudy Scott, CN, says every one of her patients who experiences severe social anxiety, and is a self-identified introvert, has had a complete reversal of their introverted personality by taking zinc, b6, and evening primrose oil; one of the best sources of the omega-6 fatty acid, gamma-linoleic acid.

Here's a good video to get you started:

what if you have a diagnosed personality disorder? Avoidant to be specific. It's much worse than just social anxiety and there is no cure. Apparently I have to take mdma for the rest of my life just so I can be myself :wow:

Like schizoid personality disorder? I couldn't tell you for sure, but you'd be surprised how many so-called mental illnesses can be reversed through proper nutrition and supplementation. Research Dr. Abram Hoffer, for instance. He had an 80% reversal rate for patients with full blown schizophrenia, using 3000mg of pure niacin a day (the one that causes a flush); and a very high success rate for anxiety, alcoholism/drug addiction, and depression with niacin as well. He even reversed Alcoholics Anonymous co-founder, Bill Wilson's, depression and fatigue problems using niacin.

If you have terrible social anxiety/agoraphobia/isolation/avoidant problems, the first thing I would do is cut out all processed sugars and breads, and start supplementing with a good colloidal mineral, B-100 complex, and zinc and b6. However, I'm not a doctor. I just want to make that clear. I simply spend lots of time reading about nutrition and what it can do for one's body.

Also, stay away from drugs, especially MDMA - it's draining your serotonin, further depleting your brains supply; which you're likely already low in.

Basically you get extreme anxiety in all social situations which causes you to completely withdraw and it's impossible to be yourself. Which in turn causes you to avoid social situations and it's just a vicious cycle. And because you can't function in society you tend to have self destructive behaviours and drug dependency issues. It does have a lot of the same symptoms as social anxiety yes. Good looking I'll look into that

Something like 90% of the body's serotonin is produced in the gut. Low serotonin causes all types of problems. An imbalance of gut flora caused by antibiotics, processed, chemical-laden foods, and low stomach acid, will severely hinder the production of serotonin within one's body.

That sounds a lot like pyroluria, but don't self diagnose yourself. I don't know if regular doctors test for the condition, but with a quick google search I'm sure you can find clinics, or even nutritionists, who specialize in the condition. There's a genetic testing for it, and it usually runs in the family, whether it be one of your parents, aunts, grandparents, etc..

Hypothetically, lets say you did have it: zinc and b6 would clear it right up. The supposed peripheral neuropathy from high doses of b6 is only when taken in isolation, which is why one would always take a B-100 complex in conjunction with single b6.

Is there a difference between niacin and niacinamide? What should I be looking for when buying? Do I buy pure niacin or a b12 vitamin complex?

You'll be surprised on what a proper diet can do to your mood.

Don't take eating for granted. If I eat certain foods, I become angry, agitated, restless etc.

Most of the problems start in your eating habits. Vitamins can fix alot of different issues, but you need to dose correctly.

Doctors don't make money off of healthy people. Remember that.

Bout to do a round of Vitamin A to help clear up this Roscea :whew:

Niacinamide is nicotinic acid bound to an amide, which prevents the flushing. They both work for mental problems, but the flushing version supposedly gets rid of toxins as well (due to the bursting of fat cells, where toxins are stored), and will actually lower your LDL and raise your HDL. Niacinamide won't do this as it has no effect on cholesterol. Apparently the niacinamide version also stores in the liver, but there's conflicting data on this. I personally like pure niacin, but you will flush (depending on your dosage) for the first week or so - but it will eventually pass.

I take 2,000mg a day (about a half teaspoon twice a day) - once in my morning kefir (which I let sit out on the counter overnight to let the culture further break down the B's), and a half teaspoon in my late-night yogurt. I like to take the B vitamins either with a probiotic or fermented dairy, which itself is full of probiotic culture.

Also, liver has all the B vitamins (more than you can get from even a B complex), so adding that once or twice a week will also help big time.

It's also full of vitamin A (retinol), zinc, iron, manganese, selenium, potassium, and choline and inositol.

This is key. I use my doctors to narrow down symptoms and make sure its minimum two different aliments.

Then I go back to the lab and start testing on myself.

Do you get niacin from nicotine? Because I was on an mdma comedown one time and I had no weed to help me relax so I just started chain smoking unfiltered tobacco. My skin got all itchy and I was sweating a little. I'm not a tobacco smoker normally.

I believe you do, but it's best to stay away as most tobacco is laden with thousands of chemicals, including heavy metals.

Yeah, it will make your real hot, especially your ears, upper body, face, and head, then will move into your limbs; and depending on your skin tone, will turn very red.

500mg is a good place to start and will give you a nice flush.

Which B complex vitamins do you recommend?
I take a multivitamin that has pretty good levels of B's in there, as well as a plethora of minerals and cofactors, called Perque Life Guard. It's expensive but for a 90 day supply, if you can afford it, is well worth it. Then I buy separate B's and separate the capsule to use the power in a kefir or yogurt. Niacin and thiamin (b3 and b1) I get the pure powder from bulk supplements. If you want a good B complex, swanson has a good B-100 you can get from amazon. You want to make sure there are as little fillers as possible. magnesium stearate and gelatin, okay. Try and stay away from anything with silica and croscarmellose in it.

Liver and nutritional yeast have all the B's in them. Liver is the best food source since you're getting tons of other vitamins and trace minerals as well.
