I think they partnered with Sony and the Producer wants the partnership to last Forever. Marvel got all their characters back creatively. Shang Chi turned out great and most think they let the director go too wild on the Eternals. It's one of the longest MCU movies ever. Why?!

They don’t have Spider-Man, their biggest character of all. Sony will never relinquish that IP.
