It's interesting to me that a lot of female directors are just as bad or worse when it comes to sexualizing actresses' bodies in shots.

There were so many ass (and breasts) shots of Brie and Teyonah that it was crazy. Shots where the ass was center framed or lingered like anime does on its female characters.

So much for the idea of "men hate women." Women haven't shown up, the audience was mostly men over 25.

They gotta stop listening to the chronically online crowd. The think pieces and twitter threads got studios thinking "strong female characters" sell movies to women when really they the female version of Jermone in Snowfall. "Aye, where the buff nikkas at? It's supposed to be grey sweats a-and and pec muscles!"

Barbie the biggest shyt in the world because it's Barbie, pink cute shyt With Ryan Gosling. A bland Brie Larson performance when she acts like a sarcastic man in some of the most generic costumes out there aint moving the needle with that demographic.

fukk the online hate mongers I enjoyed this a lot. Talking about Flash levels bad

For the quick pacing it went well and was still able to throw back stories in there.

The quirkiness and humor landed, even the "corny" stuff.

Zawe Ashton as the villain was hot and cold but the backstory makes up for that.

Yep biggest mistake. They and the two writers were the ones that steered the ship with Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame. These movies were the outliers (exception being Iron Man and Black Panther 1) not the norm and gave the McU legitimacy otherwise it would have remained neck and neck with the DCEU.

That’s probably one of the most important AC scenes since maybe IM3 or so.

But there may have been a missed opportunity, some things probably should’ve been rearranged to add even a much larger impact.
