Before the fiend, there was only one other cheap knock off undertaker style feud. looking back this match wasn't that bad, in fact it was going quite good until they went overkill with the damn theatrics. Which about sums up the entire Sting vs. Vampiro feud with all the blood, fire and gasoline. I especially like the end where the commentators try and play up sting being dead. After we just saw stings hair and height change before jumping off the turnertron onto some mattresses.

The heel turn nobody cared about

:mjlol:
That was a dumb move. The WCW Big Cheeses were idiots for that.

Remember when Hoegan took liberties with David Flair went too far and gave him that royal belt whipping at souled out 99 that made ric flair legit cry? :lolbron:

To this day no one knows why Hoegan did it. According to rics book he never forgave him. Heh, that was probably the only thing out of that ppv that wasn't outright terrible or ho-hum. However its still an L for wcw since it led to the horrendous first blood cage match at uncensored.
Never forgave hulk for that but had no trouble asking him for loans after including paying for Reid’s rehab:francis:

I know we all love the macho man but what are your thoughts on his mid life crisis phase in 1999? His knees were shot and he was coked out of his mind, there was not much left for him to do besides cut promos while standing in the ring dressed up in pimp suits looking like some uncle trying to look cool. I think it was Dave who reported that in 99 Savage, Hogan and Piper (maybe a few more guys) went to management saying that they wouldn't accept being called old on TV, by either other wrestlers or the commentary. :mjlol:

I actually loved this version of Macho Man lol. He was cutting some fire promos and basically just a pissed off old dude that dressed flashy. I made a thread about a random match he had with Evan Karagias where he demolished him completely :russ: hit him with three flying elbows, and I think beat up Mona and a ref as well
