So is it fair to say that you've never experienced the word being used in any context, nor has anyone you've known?

Because then I'm back at my original stance: This isn't even a real issue.

C’mon breh. This is a silly point. Are you saying I have to be personally impacted to care about an issue? Should I not care about school shootings?

The point lefties are making is that nobody uses "birthing person" outside of doctors talking to trans-people and academics covering trans-issues.

But this is false.

Sam Seder was literally shoehorning birthing people into the abortion conversation a couple months ago.

Is he a doctor or academic covering trans issues?

Yes or no?

Typical fundamentalist behavior. Anyone who disagrees with your dogmatic beliefs is a Nazi, Unserious, center right etc. :camby:
You literally tried to equate caring about school shootings to a word no one IRL uses on a daily basis. Do you understand how insane that sounds?

Do you have a link of this to provide additional context?

According to these folks we are not even on the left anymore based on this one non-issue issue.

Small tent politics.

Dudes like @Godless Liberal CEO have replaced God and religion with ideology.

The sad part is he thinks he is an enlightened thinker, but everything he believes he has been fed to him by other people and going against any of those beliefs means you are a heretic even if you agree on most issues. :heh:

We KNOW that school shootings are prevalent. Mass shootings are so common that damn near anyone who works in an office setting has to do active shooter training. We've seen the aftermath of school shootings and other MS consistently.

I haven't seen any traumatized women over being called a "birthing person." The only coverage of the term I've seen has been from known bad actors (ie: Matt Walsh, Fox News, LibsofTikTok types), and now the Young Turks." It looks like a textbook reactionary arguments.

I think it's silly to complain about some shyt that nobody even experiences. Like, why is anyone even pretended to be threatened by this? Especially a man...

Clip? I'd like context to work with on this...I watch a lot of MR, and I only recall hearing that phrase during Trans-discussions.

Pretty sure I bytched about it earlier in this thread when I happened* Back around the time the abortion ruling dropped. I will look for the episode #.

*not because i am against trans rights. My issue with all of this is the invasion of women’s spaces and issues at a time when women’s rights are being threatened. We should be looking at a broad expansion of human rights that delivers all of the promised and unfulfilled items that Dems have been using to fund raise… instead of pursuing increasingly higher degrees of difficulty on niche issues. It’s like trying to windmill dunk and you can’t even dribble.

Voting rights > pronoun choice
Privacy rights > political correctness
Economic issues > feelings

And on and fukking on.*

Are you religious because if you are you’d completely miss the irony of your own post in hilarious fashion :russ:

This is the actual coverage on the issue from MR...

"I think it's wrong to overinflate the usage of language like 'birthing person'" ..."I think that's the extent of it, it's awkward."

Here's Sam

And to repeat, the stance of "it's a phrase used in very particular settings and that's it, so there's no reason to overhype it" is something Ana herself has taken.

Dems aren’t campaigning on those issues in bold. This gets back to creating a problem that simply doesn’t exist and it feels like way to many people are falling for the okie dokie.

All the shyt you listed is stuff right wingers used the internet to try say are an issue when no one in power is pushing this over the other issues listed. No Dems ran on that stuff in any election so why are yall acting like this is anything other than right wingers creating a problem or agendas that doesn’t actually exist

There’s this weird thing where centrists are seemingly taking conservatives at face value on their made up complaints rather than just outright ignoring them which is what we should be doing in the first place. You’re just carrying water for your ideological enemy and not realizing it

Folks I live in one of the gayest cities in the country and trust me when I tell you none of the shyt right wingers bytch about when it comes to lgbtq community are an issue here.

It’s made up by fascists to give folks an enemy to “protect them from” for votes. That’s it
