But the Warriors ended up beating OKC - the most physical and best defensive team they came up against in the playoffs. They didn't fail when things "got physical". They failed i) because they couldn't stop LeBron/Kyrie (credit to them after all the tough shots they hit throughout the series despite the tight coverage) ii) they weren't assertive enough iii) didn't make their open shots they usually make - you had players like Barnes who went 5-32 over the last three games.

:manny:
OKC took them to 7 games and would have won if Westbrook was as under control as Irving. GS was a great team this year no doubt but the blueprint for how to beat them is out now. They got exposed in multiple games against OKC and CLE.

Probably the Bron Heatles.

I don't think any team we've seen since the 2000 Lakers would beat them in a series, including the Kove/Pau lakers, any Bron team and this warrior team.

Dunno why there's all this double talk about the Warriors, dude's lost flat out :yeshrug: doesn't matter if it was by one possession or 7.

Except they didn't get exposed, they just lost to a team that executed at the right time. GS were doing their 'lets play with my food' routine that they've been pulling for the last nine months and hoped they could just win without giving a consistent 48-minute effort and Cleveland wasn't having any of that. They paid the ultimate price for being complacent.

Warriors are definitely an all time great regular season team. Playoffs....meh.

I've said all along that I don't thing the Warriors are THAT talented....but when curry is on :wow:

This cleveland team isn't an all-time great team.

Replace kerr with a sensible coli poster and the warriors win game 7 :manny:

Gotta admire you going down firing breh :heh:

But at what point do you just chalk it up to the Warriors not having an ATG player like LeHenny?

if warriors got 73, cavs 57 and cavs blew their 3-1 lead while dealing with few injuries yeah the fans would say warriors got a lil lucky. It's a natural thing, the more wins in regular season the bigger expectations there are.
:francis:

Nah. There would be popular talking point(s) about how the league is rigged in favor of GS (it's been in rotation for the last two seasons now), that the Warriors are the luckiest team of all time and that the Cavs were the better team when both squad had their full complement of players. Another title, another asterisk.

They weren't complacent tho, they got shut down for long stretches of the series and Curry was terrible at point. It was a recipe for disaster.
