The Cavs would have been a 64-68 win team this year if Kyrie hadn't missed 29 games, I think perception of them changes next year if they stay healthy, they should win mid to upper 60s.
:heh:Yea maybe the Cavs could beat the Showtime Lakers Mike's Bulls and 'em too huh? Why aren't you in here helping your boy fight this "GS is an all time great team" fight because you were right there with him?

Nobody likes to talk about this, but if the roles were reversed:

Cavs up 3-1 when both teams at basically full-strength
Cavs player suspended in G5
Cavs player injured in G5 and out for the rest of the series
Cavs player injured in G6 and becoming a non-factor
Warriors win G7

it would be the main talking point for the rest of the offseason - about how "rigged" it was in their favor and how "lucky" they were because of said circumstances. I could just see all these dudes saying 'but the Cavs proved to be the better team when both teams were at full-strength - it was only because of that suspension and those injuries why the Warriors came back and won'.

if roles were switched the cavs would be burried alive with lebron james and all the haters would be having a field day for the whole summer, bron has much more haters than curry and warriors. Bron arguably has the most haters in basketball history.

In fact when Bron had to deal with teammates injuries in 2015 a lot of casual fans did not look at that, they saw Bron losing in the finals and put the blame on him, the 2014 was the same, they did not look at the fact that spurs were playing some extremely lucky basketball hitting all the shots while d-wade playing like an old man and bosh not helping enough. People were blaming bron once again cause he had cramps one game and kept telling oh shi MJ would take this team by himself even though Bron was doing his thing. They cant even acknowledge his 2013 championship talking about ray allen hitting that lucky shot.

Just because there are like 100 people in here underrating your warriors doesnt change the fact that millions of casual fans would be laughing at this bron 3-1 choking crazy as hell.

This isn't about what would've happened if LeBron lost - it's about what would've happened if the Warriors won. LeBron and the Cavs are being crowned (and rightfully so, as every championship team should) because they won under said circumstances. If the Warriors would've won under the same circumstances (Cavs up 3-1 when both teams at full strength, only for the league to suspend a Cavs player in G5 which is then compounded by injuries to TWO Cavs players, with the Warriors benefiting off this to win in G7) - this board would've branded their title with another asterisk.

Cavs win under the circumstances that took place = this board crowns them
Warriors win under those same circumstances = this board says it was rigged and they were lucky the Cavs had a player suspended and players injured, else they would've lost as the Cavs proved to be the better team when all things were equal (both teams at full strength)

How many times do I need to repeat this before it is understood?

Post season >>>>>>>>>>>. Regular season

nobody tries during the regular season :heh:

This is exactly what people aren't getting...GS simply tried harder than everyone else this season. Teams were not ready for their effort givin to prove they were a great team night after night. Add in curry and it made for a great season. But the losses to the lakers Celtic t-wolves bucks and whatever other scrubs told the truth in small snap shots....this team is extra NORMAL at times.

the cavs went 20-9 this year without kyrie which is a 69% winning perecntage.

without kyrie the cavs were 37-16 which is a 70% winning percentage.

I don't think they win 65+ games with irvin (Especially after the warriors were way ahead of everyone) but winning 60-62 is plausible

Warriors are definitely an all time great regular season team. Playoffs....meh.

I've said all along that I don't thing the Warriors are THAT talented....but when curry is on :wow:

This cleveland team isn't an all-time great team.

Replace kerr with a sensible coli poster and the warriors win game 7 :manny:

No disrespect to either team but I'd say neither. In fact when the main negative you can say about a team is that they're not all time great...that's good company to be in.

The Warriors had the best regular season of all time but failed in the playoffs: ie when things got physical. That alone should tell you they couldn't hang with the 90s Bulls under 90s rules. And they couldn't hang with them under modern playoff rules either.

Time for the rubber match next year:ehh:

this will be the only thing that will get both sides to stfu.

cavs complained about injuries in the 15 finals - legit reason

warriors complained about injuries and suspensions in the 16 finals - legit reason

hopefully next year the warriors (Without durant) face the cavs in the finals with both squads healthy, the dubs having home court so we can settle this forever.

winner take all

Ok lets say when we switch both sides and say warriors were 57 win team and cavs were 73, the board would not give any asterisk if warriors got some help and beat the cavs after losing 1-3. Why? Because a team with 70+ wins happened only once before 2016 season and fans expect the team to win championship if they are so good in regular season. And man oh man the media would kill Bron if this happened.

if warriors got 73, cavs 57 and cavs blew their 3-1 lead while dealing with few injuries yeah the fans would say warriors got a lil lucky. It's a natural thing, the more wins in regular season the bigger expectations there are.

When both 2015 and 2016 regular seasons ended both were considering warriors as the favorites to win therefore the expectations were the biggest on them.

Fans wanna see champions having a bit of a struggle before winning it all, it makes a good storyline, nobody wanna see the best team getting lucky when they are already good enough to win it all.

But the Warriors ended up beating OKC - the most physical and best defensive team they came up against in the playoffs. They didn't fail when things "got physical". They failed i) because they couldn't stop LeBron/Kyrie (credit to them after all the tough shots they hit throughout the series despite the tight coverage) ii) they weren't assertive enough iii) didn't make their open shots they usually make - you had players like Barnes who went 5-32 over the last three games.
