They’re trying to get her thrown off of prosecuting the January 6th case, so @Silver Surfer saying it’s not related isn’t true, because it’s actually the whole reason they’re doing it. It wouldn’t matter who it was, they’d try to find a way to get the case delayed, it’s just that the person that got put on the case, Fani, happened to be banging someone they hired and getting cash payments from, which is a no-no. So the Jan 6th defense lawyers are making a fuss about it.

That was the whole line of questioning behind the value of the gifts and dinners etc she received from wade (especially as a public official). She admitted the value well over 10k which counts as income. She claims without any proof she paid him back with cash for most expenses but not all and that there is no bank record or evidence showing her pulling the thousands in cash out at an atm etc.. According to her she just keeps 15k cash at the crib at all times cause that just what black folks do. But she cannot account for where that cash came from but says it didnt come from her job as DA (aka public funds). And Wade also conveniently claims he cannot account for the cash Fani paid him back with cause he spent it immediately. That might work in this hearing since the burden of proof is on the defense to prove it but that isnt flying with the IRS in an audit. They gonna want receipts she already claimed she doesn't have under oath.
