Ultimately, it’s a fukking video game. The story is meant to make just enough sense to prop up the game...which in this case is slaughtering a bunch of zombies and people.
These people criticizing it like they’re in English class need to lighten the fukk up. Who ever complained that it made no sense that a plumber and his plumber friend could put on a racc00n tail and start flying?
Agreed. What other game is doing cinematography, set pieces, acting, action and spectacle on this scale of quality anyway. Even if you don’t like the story the game can be appreciated. Just to walk through this world.
and tbh you can nitpick any story including the first game. There was a whole group of people upset Joel saved Ellie last time around.
the only reason I’m in here arguing is because of how a lot of criticisms seems like people just saying shyt to say it but not really having a reason.
I’ve heard there’s tons of plot holes but haven’t heard someone list ONE so I’m curious what is considered a plot whole by them.
it’s similar to the people “we played the whole game and killed hundreds only to spare Abby”. When people say that it has me like, man, that’s really the depth of which you’re paying attention?
there’s multiple layers to the story but all people say is “ I wanted to kill Abby and didn’t. This is so stupid horrible writing Ellie wouldn’t do that”. Like what a simple, cursory, surface level way to look at human behavior.
