Just finished the game 20 mins ago. Been playing since Friday. Thought it was cool but I definitely don't have the same love for it like I did with the first one. I had zero interest in Abby which turned me off for most of the game.

I feel like a lot of backlash of Joel dying could've been mended if they actually tried to earn the right in the fans eyes to kill of Joel instead of killing him, then trying to justify it afterwards. They could've built up Abby's character before hand instead of killing off Joel and having this awkward situation where everyone is mad at this character and doesn't want anything to do with her what so ever. You could've also just let Ellie kill Abby and gotten a cliché, vengeance doesn't solve anything story across. She went home to Dina being gone, Tommy basically AWOL, and lost the ability to play the guitar which was a connection to Joel.

I just realized that Abby never tells Ellie that Joel killed her father... Matter fact she doesn't even tell Joel that he killed her father... I just find that strange. Both just assumed that it was the fireflies seeking revenge (which they were) but they left out the context. I mean wouldn't Ellie be curious as to why Abby tortured Joel before killing him? Or even Tommy for that matter...

So this is your argument for today? Ignoring the potential importance of why they were operating on her? And the world they live in? where there are no rules, government ect.

the other day it was the idea that Ellie was killing all of these people by herself was bothering you, honest question breh....why are you here? There are plenty people in here saying what they like and what they dont, and giving their opinions on why and and why not, you just in here picking out the most pointless and incoherent reasons to argue with people playing the game when you have made it clear you have no interest in playing it, what’s your reason?

that’s fair on your part but it’s still illogical to think everyone would react that way just bcuz you would...and I find it unbelievable that you can’t fathom that someone could be distraught for years over witnessing the death/murder of a loved one to the point of thinking/behaving irrationally in response to that...regardless of “right” or “wrong”...it happens in real life...often

also “bloodlust” joel was able to cleanly take the scalpel out the surgeon’s hand...it was unnecessary to stab him after that

After having played it my mind is changed. The story beats felt necessary a lot of the hate is white gamer gate shyt tbh. I'm embarrassed to have gotten caught up in it. The game was fantastic.

while u dudes are in your feelings because I’ve critically questioned certain things in the storyline that I find non believable

and for the record I didn’t say anything about someones reaction to their parents being killed ... I said it’s not revenge when that person did it to protect their love one

Haven't played it. Never played the first one so I'm not really that invested. Just watched the game play and cut scenes, etc.

Visually it's really nice. Story wise, it looks like it had potential. I get what they were trying to do. I think they overreached. The story is as if teens just finished watching Lars von Trier movies and decided to make a game inspired by it but it came out like 13 reasons why...
