Pretty simply put the end of part 3 ellie definitely needs to die under the knife and be a failed test, and Abby and ellie need to become close somehow be it because of lev, dina and the baby or whatever. That way abby gets some understanding of why joel did what he did, the player understands why joel did what he did and everyone kind of gets the point that being selfish also just gets you killed in the long run.

Also in the 1st game it's clear joel did what he did because he grew close to ellie, and ellie clearly touched him when she say's everyone she cares about ends up leaving her.

The over all theme of the 1st game imo, was don't get attached to anything because it will cause you your life... and basically that held true up until the end of part 2.

They will clearly have a part 3, this is the hottest franchise in gaming right now. They are printing money.

The real question is Abby gonna find some roids and get swole again for the next one as it’s obvious Ellie is done.

Only if Abby carries them to the promise land like Lebron did the cavs

Joel job was to get Ellie to the fireflies so that they could find a cure and that was it. Breh been out here living in a fukked up world but it never occurred to him she might have to die for the cure to be made ?

Remember when Tess sacrificed herself so that Joel could get Ellie to the fireflies ?

Remember how Joel cashed in his favor from Bill to get that Jeep so Ellie could get to the fireflies ?

Remember how Henry shot his own brother and then himself after his brother attacked Ellie ?

All these people sacrificing themselves for this girl cause she is supposed to be the cure, and then what does Joel do ? Claps up the only person who could perform the operation, cause he still hung up on his own daughter that he couldn't save from getting clapped by that soldier when this all started. Now everybody got to pay the price for him being to weak to protect his own daughter.

Typical selfish old white cac. I couldn't properly take a bullet for my daughter and my brother had to step in and save the day so I am going to save this girl who could be the cure to a deadly disease to show that I can be strong like Tommy was and if it means there is no cure then fukk it I don't care.
Now the fireflies don't have the most valuable thing outside of a cure in the last of us world, a doctor and a surgeon, cause Joel caught feelings for some little girl he knew for several months. shyt got a tinge of  to it to.

Then he wasn't even man enough to tell Ellie what really happened. What type of shyt is that ? Joel the typical old white cac doing foul shyt and trying to re-write history:camby:. "Oh yeah they stopped trying to make a cure lets turn around and go home"

If it wasn't for this old selfish ass cac there might be a cure and then the shyt could be called " a few of us" :manny:.

:mjlol: Very very interesting

I can’t argue with your talking points because everything you said is pretty much subjective which makes the first game one of the most creative stories in gaming
BUT
with that said I find it quite alarming that you completely left out the most important part of their journey in which they’re in a medical center & A militia group comes to kills them - as Joel fights them off he gets in a tussle with one on the upper level where he’s pushed and falls 2 stories down which rebar completely punctures the side of his abdomen... Ellie is the one who pushes him and gets him on the horse as he falls unconscious where you understand in the DLC she hides him 1st in a store at a mall... until she’s able to finds medication to save his life.... in which she moves him into a neighboring town in the house garage before he completely recovers.... as she is captured by that same militia group leader the pedophile David and Joel comes to get her

that‘a the part of the story is the turning point of their relationship - she saved his life
so, you can’t really knock him with all that him being selfish shyt
like real talk

And again I’ll keep saying it over and over and over there was never 100% guarantee that doing the surgery on her was going to work
and for the record I never was a fan of Ellie .... so I’m not even invested in trying to defend her

They really setup Abby and Lev to be the new Joel and Ellie. Now they have the Rattlers, WLFs, Jackson and Scars hating them :damn:

We never really got introduced to the leader of the Scars and they built her up all damn game. And we never really saw who was running the Rattlers as well. There is a lot of beef still out there for Abby.

Edit: never mind i remembered that the scar chick is dead

To me this makes no sense.

It's one thing if someone didn't like what happened and has a valid reason for it (I think what's in the images is reasonable) but going from that to "this is disrespectful" is retarded and shows the response is emotional and not rational. Which sure, of course it can be that, and if someone doesn't like it, fine, don't like it. shyt, feel disrespected, but don't pretend like that's a fact when it's just an emotional response :manny:

To me, the only mistake Joel made during that whole thing was saying his name. He's not happy he got to the house, he doesn't accept Nora's request to take the saddles because he wants to leave as soon as the storm passes. He sounds suspicious when Manny says they've been there "since yesterday" and asks what they (WLF) are doing there. It's Tommy that's all happy go lucky, tells them they should go to their place (Jackson) and introduces himself...then Joel fukks up and says his name.

He makes 1 mistake. How the hell is that disrespectful or unreasonable or "makes no sense"? :wtf: anyone can slip up once, specially when it's such a minor thing, how is that unrealistic?

And during that whole time he doesn't even see Abby as she disappears from the scene and only shows up again to shoot him with the shotgun.

How can you watch this

and think Joel was so out of character. Specially when you take into account he got lucky as shyt and survived that horde of infected :dead:

Again, not liking it is one thing but acting like it's some sacrilegious shyt is nonsense.

Tommy already told Abby their names right when they were holding down the doors from infected. Joel introduces himself a second time in that scene and it felt perfectly natural. Joel didn't know who Abby was or even knew about him killing her dad. Nothing seems unrealistic here. Humans aren't perfectly logical creatures.

And they have been living in a town for 4 years with tons of people, so they aren’t as guarded as they were in the past. And they probably go on patrols and find people to bring back to Jackson to build up the community pretty often. So it makes sense that he trusted her initially.

Yeah it sounded like they do it all the time.

I'm not saying its correct in the overall but as far as the characters know, there was a chance for a cure. Elie seemed to be a great specimen for finding a cure. From Joel, Elie, Tommy, Abby, and other fireflies perspective Joel went crazy because he didn't want to sacrifice her for the cure. And instead of just killing the soldiers or fukking up the doctors he murdered them. He not only threw away the chance for this cure but for future cures too.

:yeshrug:

What do you exactly mean he killed the soldiers and doctors ?
they was going to kill him for taking Ellie back

Im saying soldiers know what the game is and doctors are basically innocent bystanders. He didn't have to murder the doctor by stabbing him in the neck. He could've shot his hand, or feet, or even leg. He was in a hospital, it would be harder for him to bleed out

Writing was objectively trash. If nikkas can’t see that, I don’t know why you would even post. Gameplay was fine. The project lacked any soul unlike the original. Not even interested in playing through again to platinum. Was straight.

:yeshrug:
Can you post a reason why.

I felt like ND nailed the storytelling aspect of the game. But.. not a huge fan of the direction. But.. it felt like a really real and immersive direction in a fukked up world like TLOU's, so I can understand.

I hated the initial switch to Abby and having to play through Seattle as her. She did slightly grown on me by the end of Day 3, but I still wanted to kill her as Ellie and complete the revenge journey. I HATED having to fight Ellie as Abby. I just couldn't get into it. I wanted to play as Ellie the whole time and honestly let Abby get shot up a few times on purpose.

It wasn't until the final fight of the game where I wanted Ellie to spare Abby, and was glad she did. Just something about her not wanting to fight Ellie and how she wanted to just move forward and away from all of this with Lev gave me a change of heart.

Ellie's end was shyt and it left a weird feeling in my stomach, but it felt right considering everything that happened.

The game did drag at points, but the gameplay usually made up for it. I felt like some of the best encounters in the game happened right when I was feeling like it was starting to drag. Gameplay was great, loved how Ellie was a stealth expert but Abby could take down a small town guns blazing.

I'm struggling between rating this game an 8 or 9, but this is definitely a must play. I can see why people don't like this game because of the direction.. but I don't see how you can give this game anything less than an 8 with how it does everything else at a masterclass level. And to the people bytching who haven't even played it, fukk you and your opinion, and stop wasting everyone's time.

I agree with a lot of what you said. But I think the sudden switch to Abby with your emotions running high was great. It was really a WTF moment. I was really vested in trying to figure out how the fukk we got to the point. And it was cool to see how everything the Jackson crew did looked from the other point of view.

The fight against Ellie was good and bad. Good because you got to see what’s it’s like for other people to try and deal with Ellie. She’s basically Solid Snake. But they should have given you an option to be one or the other during that fight and have it always end with Abby sparing her.

I like the ending though. Sets up Abby and Lev for future games, and leaves Ellie open ended just in case they need to bring her back to revive the series. But there is so much fukked up shyt going on across the country they can keep this series going forever.
