people begun to prop up what pippen was to make a case for lebron seeking help. in order to justify lebron teaming up with wade bosh kyrie love and davis they have to make pippen a all star caliber player that carried jordan at times. this is not the case. you would be hard pressed to find any playoff game were it was pippen taking over and jordan fell back. it happened maybe once or twice but this was common for players that played with lebron. those guys lebron played with would still be hall of famers if they never played with lebron. pippen im not so sure about that.
When Michael retired the Bulls won 55 games and he was a top MVP and DPoY candidate and All-Star game MVP.

Jordan was the G.O.A.T. scorer and was an alpha and the center of the offense. Pippen's responsibility was on defense and as a playmaker while being a secondary scorer. A guy like Kyrie his role was to be a scorer. It's also not true and not very common with LeBron. There were some games where Kyrie and D-Wade scored as much but to say it was common? Nah. LeBron+Kyrie/Wade would have games they avalanched teams together like Jordan/Pippen but to say they took over or carried LBJ that's BS. The only year you can point to is 2011. In game 3 of the 1993 ECF down 2-0, Michael shot 3 of 18 but Pippen scored a super efficient 29 and the Bulls beat the Knicks by 20. In game 6 of the 1992 Finals, Pippen led a 15 point comeback with MJ on the bench. I can't recall any of LeBron's teammates doing that, in fact it was LeBron who led a 26 point comeback against Indiana in '17 with Love and Kyrie on the bench. LeBron who swept Atlanta and took the Warriors to 6 games without Kyrie or Love. D-Wade while fighting knee drains was often carried by LeBron. Bosh was scoring 0 points in game 7's of the Finals. Love had a concussion and was a shell of himself in '16 and was pretty much carried.

Pippen was an athletic point forward with a late growth spurt and high work ethic. I don't know why y'all acting like dude couldn't have been a great player without Jordan, it's like y'all think MJ made him when dude off his own raw natural talent was a top 5 pick and he came out an NAIA school.

Breh you’re talking to simplistic first take type posters

Context beyond the box score or ring counts matters little to these nikkas

Nobody's questioning Pips talent, just his mental

toughness early on.Plenty top 5 picks have come into

the league soft as baby shyt.My favorite squad drafted

the Tin Man/Cowardly Lion himself(DeAndre Ayton)

number 1 overall. Not saying Pip was that extreme, but

He was a small town guy from a small school.I'm sure

He needed reassurance.I mean, the shyt's documented!

Beyond that, the thread rings true.Bytches act on emot-

Pippen is who he is.

Honestly, without Jordan I don't know if dude's career would've been remotely close to the same... After his Houston and Portland stuff especially.

Isn't it well established Pippen was on the decline when he left Chicago?

Why hold that against him when he gave his prime years exclusively to the Bulls?

I'm not talking about his skills or play (outside of deferring quite a bit more than he had any reason to).

He was a pain to deal with. Coaches, management, teammates... guys who recruited him were done with him in less than a season.
