While y'all shyt on Pip to prop up Jordan (as though he even needs it), let's take another angle. That man started his college basketball career as an EQUIPMENT MANAGER and built himself into a Hall of Fame top 50 player. That says a lot about his toughness for everyone who claims hes so soft.

Pippen is who he is.

Honestly, without Jordan I don't know if dude's career would've been remotely close to the same... After his Houston and Portland stuff especially.

Yea, the Houston thing was a debacle and then one hot year with Portland where they choked big time before becoming a laughing stock debacle of 1st round exits after. It's hard to categorize Pippen to be honest. His prime had one hot year that amounted to a 2nd round exit and they only made it that far because Kukoc was the team's closer that season, and the next year they were trash.

That's not to say Pippen was trash (far from it) but is he a better basketball player than Jimmy Butler or Paul George? Ehhhh... but he'll have a more decorated career than either of those guys probably ever will because of his situation. It truly is what it is.

Why play hypotheticals? Thats just inadvertently downplaying impact. Pip spent his best years as a Bull and was a big part of the three peats. That’s reality.
I'm not knocking that. I'm just saying that the odds he becomes that player somewhere else aren't all that likely considering how dude acts and responds to certain stuff.

There wasn't a stronger force in the sports than MJ having your back during those days. He needed it.

So people saying bulls had the best 2 players in the league, back in the day, was myth ?
No

But its a huge difference in Jordan getting a skinny soft unknown kind from Central Arkansas and toughened him up to the all star he became

Vs lebron joining up with guys who were all stars before lebron ever teamed up with them.

:dead: let me guess MJ gave Pippen legs and arms to so he could learn how to function as a human too?

you’re proving OP’s point with this ridiculous dikk riding.

Pippen handled stuff poorly, straight up. Dude was on some bullshyt - constantly - with no solutions of his own about any of it either. People give Jimmy Butler a hard time, but Pippen was waaaaaay worse.

That's generally not how you establish a long career. Saying that Pippen needed MJ more than MJ needed Pippen isn't some wild statement :unimpressed:. Neither is saying he'd have potentially fukked up his own career in another situation before making a name for himself considering how he moved after the fact. Especially back then too.

He could've went the the Super Sonics & became another

another Derrick McKey, but fortunately he crossed paths

with the GOAT, Phil Jackson, and Tex Winters in his profess-

ional career.Became an All Star level player.Top 50's super

ultra debatable.Like I said, not certain I'd rank him over Paul

George

It's complicated with this guy...

He's overrated and underrated. He's somewhere in the Paul George/Jimmy Butler/Andre Iguodala range of players. I think he's closest to Iggy in terms of athleticism and playing style. Pippen is just a bit taller and longer. George is a stretch because of his perimeter shooting and shot creation he could never score like him.

A lot of people try to compare him to LeBron, he's nowhere near LeBron. A lot of people try to compare him to Kawhi, he's nowhere near Kawhi.

As for the OP the migraines were real. He shouldn't have subbed himself out with the Kukoc thing and he should have took responsibility for signing a bad contract everything else in there is exaggerated.

I don't think he was soft at all dude played game 6 of the 1998 Finals with a bad back. If you watched his upbringing dude had a poverty stricken rural Arkansas upbringing and worked hard as hell to become as good as he did.
