nah it already says what happened

you arent God :umad:

Exodus 4:22-26
22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the Lord met him, and sought to kill him.

25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.

Asiya bint Muzahim (Arabic: آسِيَة بِنْت مُزَاحِم, romanized: Āsiya bint Muzāḥim) was, according to the Qur'an and Islamic tradition, the wife of the Pharaoh of the Exodus.[2] [3]

Asiya was the wife of Pharaoh and the adoptive mother of Moses, first mentioned in Surah Al-Qasas in the Quran,[3] identified as Bithiah in the Jewish tradition.[4] She is revered by Muslims as one of the four greatest women of all time, and according to a prophetic narration in Sahih al-Bukhari, the second ever.[5][6]

She is believed to have secretly accepted monotheism after witnessing the miracle of Moses. The tradition holds that Asiya worshipped Allah in secret and hid her religion from her husband. However, later her faith was revealed and the Pharaoh ordered her execution.[7]

Al-Tha'labi, an Islamic scholar, considered that Moses named the continent Asia after her.[8]

Narrative[edit]

And Allah sets forth an example for the believers: the wife of Pharaoh, who prayed, “My Lord! Build me a house in Paradise near You, deliver me from Pharaoh and his ˹evil˺ doing, and save me from the wrongdoing people.”
— Quran 66:11[9]

The opening words בְְּכׇׇׇׇל דּוֹֹר וָָָָדוֹֹר are from the Haggadah (the 'program' of Pesaħ Eve, see paragraph #2 below) and based on the verse
...you are to tell your son, 'On account of this [ceremony] did Adοnai do for me when I emerged from Egypt!' (Sh'mοt 13:8)

Gοd Himself commanded each and every Jew to think of themselves as having personally taken part in the Exodus. This passage from the ‘oral Tοrah’, which has been incorporated into the yearly Seder (the very important table-ceremonial for Pesaħ Eve), reads as such:
In each generation, every Jew has a duty to consider himself as having personally gone out of Egypt, as it is written (Sh'mοt 13:8): On that day you are to tell your son, '[It was] for the sake of this [ceremony that] Adοnai acted on my behalf when I emerged from Egypt!' We are therefore obliged to thank, to applaud and to praise, to honor, to exalt and to glorify, to bless, to extol and to respect Him who performed all these miracles for our ancestors and for us – bringing us from slavery into freedom – from sadness into joy – from mourning into celebration – from darkness into brilliant light – and from servitude into redemption; so let us sing before Him ‘Hal'lu-YaH!’

For this reason, we recite a special blessing at the Seder thanking Gοd for freeing us from Egypt:
בָָָָּרוּךְְ... אֲֲֲֲשֶֶֶֶׁר גְְּאָָָָלָָֽנוּ וְְגָָָָאַַל אֶֶֶֶת אֲֲֲֲבוֹֹתֵֵֽינוּ מִִמִִּצְְרַַֽיִִם׃
Blessed is... the One who freed us and our ancestors from Egypt.

Got a good one for the thread now. Saw this video and although I don’t agree with everything said in it, it’s a really good video on a complex and controversial topic. :manny:

If I didn’t know better I’d say @MMS made this video as I remember him having similar views as the channel makes. :banderas:

I know all too well how he’s extremely opposed to the idea sacrifices in the Bible much less “child sacrifice” and this being possibly why he doesn’t believe in Yahweh…… allegedly

I’ll let you and @Koichos battle it out on this topic. :steviej:

I’ll keep my views on this video private, for now :youngsabo:

while on the real topic (sorry @DoubleClutch ) i had a strange thought

i read, that Pharaoh had taken "greek mercenaries" as personal guards....but Dogs were routinely conflated with Greeks because Hades...so here is an interesting "foundational myth" regarding Greeks that come from a "Theban Princess"...

Maenads were reputed to tear their own children limb from limb in their madness. In the back-story to the heroic tale of Jason and the Golden Fleece, Phrixus and Helle, twin children of Athamas and Nephele, were hated by their stepmother, Ino. Ino hatched a devious plot to get rid of the twins, roasting all the crop seeds of Boeotia so they would not grow.[4] The local farmers, frightened of famine, asked a nearby oracle for assistance. Ino bribed the men sent to the oracle to lie and tell the others that the oracle required the sacrifice of Phrixus. Athamas reluctantly agreed. Before he was killed though, Phrixus and Helle were rescued by a flying golden ram sent by Nephele, their natural mother. Helle fell off the ram into the Hellespont (which was named after her, meaning Sea of Helle) and drowned, but Phrixus survived all the way to Colchis, where King Aeetes took him in and treated him kindly, giving Phrixus his daughter, Chalciope, in marriage. In gratitude, Phrixus gave the king the golden fleece of the ram, which Aeetes hung in a tree in his kingdom.

how could Israelites escape burning seeds? like burning meteors :sas1: you know in "Egypt" the NES game when you line up two or more of the same type of monster they turn into a burning tornado and disappear :wow: @Marks "Siddharthaaa your mother has no heeling function"

Since you’re into gematria

@Koichos does Bethlehem really mean “house of bread” in Hebrew :ohhh:

Bread of life = manna = daily bread = body broken for you = Jesus :banderas:

Jesus said:

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh,”

John 6:35

im not so sure about that one

read Exodus 16 again for yourself (the whole passage)

because remember...

Matthew 4:1-7
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

so with both passages in mind...the GREEK text implies Jesus spoke in allegories and parables...meaning the words in the book were "like" bread...and the spoken words "like" wine

but if you have not considered, it is with wine and with bread that they (his disciples) sought to tempt him. And that is because...

Genesis 14:17-24
17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.

18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

24 Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

in Egypt they were BEER makers but they were not WINE makers. (see above the link "burning seeds")

Emperor Augustus prepared a second "birthing house" in the temple of Ihy's mother, with pictures of Ihy's birth and celebrations painted on the wall. Ihy is shown as the god of bread, beer, coffins, and the Book of the dead.[1] There were mystery plays in 13 acts on fertility in these temples.

Not sure about what part?

You don’t believe what the scriptures say? :jbhmm::jbhmm:

Even besides being the living “bread” he is the “word of god” even according to the Quran

Daily Bread = daily word

One allegory for the Old Testament Jews and one allegory for the New Understanding and everyone who believes in Jesus for salvation

Just as God saved the Israelites in the wilderness

Just the parallels are :whoo:

@Koichos

In 2 Samuel 21, verse 19, the Hebrew Bible tells how Goliath the Gittite was killed by "Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, the Bethlehemite". The fourth-century BC 1 Chronicle 20:5 explains the second Goliath by saying that Elhanan "slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath", constructing the name Lahmi from the last portion of the word "Bethlehemite" ("beit-ha’lahmi"), and the King James Bible adopted this into 2 Samuel 21:18–19, but the Hebrew text at Goliath's name makes no mention of the word "brother".[16] Most scholars dismiss the later 1 Chronicles 20:5 material as "an obvious harmonization" attempt.[17]

I can’t read between the lines. You gotta spell it out for me :manny:
youre gonna have to study it (God's word) yourself if you're a believer in it (and a supposed propagator)

otherwise you will deal with the ramifications of not considering it

Right but I’m trying to understand the scripture you quoted in response to the other scriptures how YOU see it. Otherwise why even did you respond to me with what you did.

Defeats the purpose if I don’t know your POV on the verse.... which is what I’m asking lol

I want to know what you think, not tell you what I think about what you send me :why:
