He can’t be traded because he not declining that player option for $47M next season
We probably looking at Spring 2023 before we see John again:mjlol:

Same thing I’m thinking and ever year new PGs come in and develop. Do not really much need to trade for him.

Yes.

Nobody is taking that deal off them. I don't think there's an NBA team right now where Wall becomes appealing enough to where that team is effectively gutting their bench Lakers-style to acquire him, not at that salary.

Wall off a buyout would have 10-12 teams calling him, but that doesn't seem likely.

Why not? Bad contacts have been moved regularly in recent years. Look at :russ:

Cp3's contact was looked at as terrible when the sun's got him.

What has been proven is bad contacts can be moved. Plus the rockets have more than enough draft picks to throw in a deal if they really want him gone.

You're overlooking the fact that CP3 made 2nd team All NBA that one season in OKC and led them to the playoffs, which helped rehab his value and convince Phoenix to take him on. Even in the case of Westbook to LA, they were desperate for his services and were willing to give up the assets to get him.

Houston is not going to give up sweeteners plus picks just to move off of Wall's contract as it would be foolish on their part to do as they'd still be years away from even sniffing the play-in tournament even without his contract on the roster.

Westbrook is washed and overrated player, but he was still always a better asset than Wall coming off two missed years of gameplay.

to make it easier just try to identify teams that have a need for his skill set and the contracts to get it done…it’s the same as Kevin Love.

And I already said, Wall's was one of them, but at some point you run out of suitors. That's why we have a buyout market, because even some contracts can't get moved after a while. Highly unlikely John Wall woulda did what CP3 did in OKC and shot his value up so high that teams are looking for contracts to match up for him. If he pulls that off, it's gonna be with him on a veteran's minimum contract or something short like what the Knicks are doing with Kemba.

and it's pretty clear that Houston ain't tryna add assets to dump his deal.

Here's what helped CP3 that John Wall doesn't have: when OKC traded for Paul, Paul was still productive and the Thunder weren't in tank mode yet even though everyone thought they'd lose like crazy that year. I don't think Houston has any interest in the John Wall revival story if it means Wall leads them to a first round exit.

Buyout then he’ll sign with a contender

except he does not want a buyout

At this point in his career john wall might only get like 10 mill a year max
Do you think he's going to want to be bought out and miss out on 46 million next year?

john wall has played 72 games in the past 4 nba seasons breh
he shot 40% from the floor last year
his contract is 44 million this year and a player option of 47 million next year :picard:

realistically the only trade i could even imagine for john wall is prob for russell westbrook as they literally have the same contract and a player option next year that both will pick up
Except westbrook is actually not injury prone and the rockets got rid of him already.

wall only isn't playing cuz the rockets have him benched. so all the talk about him missing games this year and last year is irrelevant since we all know he's healthy.

and yes the rockets could trade him for two overpaid players making like $20M a piece. the NBA has those players, and some teams would be happy to move them and take a flyer on wall.

John wall is a shell of what he once was breh

And please go ahead and list those teams?

The reason no team is trading for him is because of his 47 million player option next year.

Literally the only team I could see even trading for John wall is the new orleans pelicans
