Not when you factor in student loans.... which they dont look at... and can easily make or break somebodyMost of those were scams as well.
The requirements are absurd btw

I think at this point they will reach ENY in 10 years.
She is not one of New York’s Grande Dame parks, those Olmsted beauties with Victorian park houses, manicured lawns, rolling hills and forest glades. She lacks the high-stepping strut of Central Park and the hipster slouch of Prospect Park.
Okay cool. But what would we rather see happen. Minorities move to safer suburbs or benefit money wise from gentrification? I t
Double edged sword. Williamsburg and Bushwick have little businesses and shops popping up everywhere but the neighborhoods are losing their identities, which is kind of what makes NYC special.
In Bay Ridge it used to be Italians and Irish. Now a mess of middle eastern communities are popping up all over there.
East NY and Brownsville are still the same. They not THAT brave yet. But The Stuy? Shiiiit at 2 or 3 in the morning you can see white girls stumbling around drunk from partying in the city. 10 years ago that was NOT the case.
I'd rather have the city get safer. I hate the burbs so that probably plays a role. I find city life to be so much better than suburban life.
People don't necessarily benefit money wise unless you own a building or business of some sort. Property prices go up with nice things around you. Your job won't accommodate for that and raise your pay.
No but it's identity does. The negatives aspects like crime can go. What about the people? How is it not still a community? When grandma leaves does the place cease to exist?
The rich baby boomers have no idea what to do with their idiot kids who majored in art history and refuse to get real jobs so they buy them apartments in the city...and voila, rent skyrockets and we have hipster doofuses working odd jobs for 25 hours a week and taking up space
Fair enough.
How come Staten Island hasn't blown up like that though? No Subway?
because its the anti thesis to the hipster shyt. no subway = not cool. my girls cousin is one of those hoboken hipsters. almost had to chip him up for his know it all attitude on the city talking shyt on my island breh. i only allow fellow nycers to talk shyt about how slow staten island is. shyts a whole nother world from where these starbucks motherfukkers are from, i aint hearing it.
the island is actually becoming more like old brooklyn, less white people than ever since i was there. the hipsters dont wanna live by the ferry yet. plus, i would think they gonna catch it from everybody there.
What if crime is part of the identity????No but it's identity does. The negatives aspects like crime can go. What about the people?
