thats the thing in Detroit we have a LACK of population. White folks were coming in buying the old vacant lots/homes or the old joints and fixing them up, and as a result the people who were there already are seeing a rise in their property values.
The culture here isn't a reject thing really, like i said its the baby boomers really that cant let go of this racial shyt that plagues the region white folks who refuse to live below 8 Mile and black folks afraid to fukk with anything above it.
But these new gen Y kids they SO want to come to the city...its authenticates them and honestly its just cheap. And black kids who are worth their salt are often north of 8 Mile to do anything relativity interesting because the did everything in the city. Downtown, Midtown and New Center are becoming great combinations of the two.

Outside of Soundview and the South Bronx(which is getting gentrified as we speak), North Bronx over by White Plains Rd(not a great area, but it's a decent working class area) and some other areas in North Bronx is straight. I hope White Plains Rd doesn't get gentrified, it'd be a shame to see those beef patty spots to turn into Starbucks
