That’s clearly not a 70 win roster. So to an extent yeah, that record is fraudulent.

They’re not better than Boston. My Knicks already smacked them up and if Giannis and Dame are healthy then I’m picking then over Cleveland as well. Their ceiling is Eastern Conference Finals.

The Knicks slapped them up when? Two seasons ago? :dahell:

nikka what?

They wasn't the story of the league but they had 4 fukking All Stars and the fukking Coach of the Year. Made it to the conference Finals and I remember clear as day, nobody in their right mind expected them to get swept.

fukk that other noise you talking about
Cavs won’t have to beat a prime Lebron in the playoffs.

Back then bron had the east shook. I’ve seen Jeff Teague talk about it in interviews. They were literally afraid of that man. They were defeated before the games even started. Don’t matter what record they had.

Naw we are past that point.

Every team is giving them their best game and still losing.

You could have said this at the beginning of the season, but at this point every team has the cavs game circled and they still getting clapped up.

Cavs have hit a special point in personnel, strategy, and togetherness, that few teams can/will.

Aye yo, let me know if you want tickets for any other games, if I got them, no charge like before :salute:

That 2014-2015 Hawks team didn't have a single legitimate #1 or #2 option. Nor did they have any all time great defense. They're not remotely comparable to this current Cavs squad. Nobody was under any illusion that they were winning a title especially after how they looked in the 1st 2 rounds of the playoffs.

I guess we just have to wait and see, but the a lot of teams that went on to be great and win titles experienced this same skepticism. From what I can see, the Cavs built this the way that guarantees team stability longevity. And they actually play as a cohesive unit because they've been together for a while.

Nah, the Regular season is hard to adjust to a new team's playing style especially when you don't face them everyday and opposing teams have to worry about 28 other teams in the NBA on a night to night basis. Where we will see the true test will be in the playoffs when teams actually have the time to gameplan and expose their weaknesses. Not saying this is the Cavs, but we have seen too many examples of 60 win teams get exposed in the playoffs because Teams now have the time to gameplan against them

Obviously the playoffs are different.

As a cavs fan, i’m still not convinced they have the composure to keep it up through a tough playoff matchup.

But i disagree with saying they are just catching teams by surprise.

OKC treated that game on wednesday like a playoff game. Shai played his heart out to the point where he was on the bench afterword looking like they just lost a big playoff game.

Teams are going at the cavs, and there’s enough tape on them to prepare well.

The Cavs are legit. And more of threat than OKC this year unless Chet comes back and they hit another gear.

I still think this is another Celtics chip year regardless.

Nothing like that Hawks team

Again, the Cavs average margin of victory is +11.7. If they keep this up, it’s the second highest since they been tracking this. Only the 16-17 Warriors were higher at +12.1.

That Hawks team was at +4.5.

Their offensive rating is 122 which tops the league while defensive rating is like 7th.

The other major difference is talent levels. Maybe Hortford over Allen, but the Cavs are better every where else and Mitchell is an elite bucket.
So do you see them as a genuine contender and if so, where do you see them finishing in the post season. win the whole thing? final?,ECF?

They are a genuine contender

I think Boston is better, but I also would like to see it play out before I write any team off.

Mobely’s play is the difference maker.
