Originally when they first announced that the show was coming back, it was supposed to be Brandy and Jason as main characters. I'm guessing since he couldn't come back, then they didn't bother bringing her character back and made Tasha and Malik the main characters lol.

Guest appearance. From what just read, it says that Jason will be back in “some capacity”, so maybe they were able to get him in for a cameo.

Where they really messed up was that they mentioned that the show was coming back, then waited too late to start filming where it was going to be difficult to bring in OG actors like was the original plan.

I dont know if Malik and Tasha can carry this show by themselves.

The show went way downhill when Derwin and Melanie left. Malik, Jason and Chardonnay wasn't that compelling.

Only reason I tuned in at that point was for Lauren London fine ass

Seems like a completely different show. The comedy is what made me love the original, and this seems like a drama. I’ll watch the first episode but don’t think I’ll like it.

Viacom has owned BET, VH1, MTV for decades, but we always got a shyt budget.
Once it left the CW it became trash. How is BritBat 20 something?

Yeah, had no idea that Adriyan Rae chick was supposed to be Brittany.
But I guess if she was like 13 when she got re-cast in season 4 that this show is taking place two years after season 9?

Ehh, they were literally the only reason I watched a season or two post derwin and Melanie, but Lauren and Jay Ellis were both terrible actors and had zero chemistry, and the c00ning elements of tasha and Malik were turned up too high, they also went too far in making Malik into a scumball

half the budget went to drone shots over Vegas

but this lil teaser at least looks like they have way more money to work with than they had on CW.

with that said, Derwin is washed and was washed on Ray Donovan. Not sure how more Tasha Mack will feel unless she can "Ari Gold" her way into a solid performance.
