We won't see blond Eobard at all next season. Willing to make an IP bet ban on that.

Not sure that's a good bet...

  • Tom Cavanagh ain't gone: While it looked like Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne met the most final end imaginable in the season one finale (he was wiped out of existence!), Kreisberg said in a few post-episode interviews that Cavanagh will still be a series regular in season two. He also mentioned that he hopes to work with Matt Letscher, the man who played Eobard's true form, again. Considering that season two might include a trip through the Multiverse, it's possible that Cavanagh could play an unaltered -- and therefore not evil -- Harrison Wells next season.

That pretty much confirms Thawne will be back, unless the actor is unavailable for some reason.

Season 1 Was an Alternate Timeline

Executive producer of The Flash, Andrew Kreisberg has confirmed that the entire first season of the show is an alternate timeline due to the manipulation of Tom Cavanagh's Harrison Wells, something many could have easily deduced just given what was said throughout the season - see a mock timeline below I made around Episode 9 (I KNOW it needs to be updated) - the question now becomes will we ever see the original timeline? Matt Letscher who plays the "true" Eobard Thawne stated in latter episodes of the show that Thawne went back in time and hijacked Well's life in order to create the particle accelerator sooner - something that we still do NOT know if it was done to create the Flash himself, or simply assisted in the Flash's creation (Barry DID become the bolt that struck himself in many storylines) - We also must recall Eddie's (Rick Cosnett) sacrifice means that Wells/Eobard never even existed (for a short time, assuming the Blue Flame receives Eddie to return as the Season 3(?) villain Cobalt Blue). Kreisberg said the following on the matter:
"Part of the fun of The Flash is when you have people dabbling in sci-fi physics, they’re significantly altering the world. We established in the finale that the entire series of The Flash is, in itself, an alternate timeline that’s been skewed from the real one. Wells setting off the accelerator created all the metahumans, and the results of the singularity will also have long-term effects."
Kreisberg confirmed that both Letscher and Cavanagh will be back in future episodes of the show but will Wells be the actual Harrison Wells or will he be the evil, Eobard Thawne version? Again see a timeline created around Episode 9 (set to be updated in some pretty substantial ways)

Caitln will be the new felcity.

Flash turns into season 3 arrow :troll:

:sadcam: please don't let this happen
Well there is already a Tumblr contingent pushing for a Barry/Caitlin relationship (they even have a shytty Olicity type name for them: Snowbarry :scusthov:); all it would take is for Berlanti to leave another Tumblr loving asshat like Guggenheim in charge of Flash and we would be at the mercy of a bunch of half-ass racist junior high fangirls.

:rudy: What character development? The guy was a non-factor all season.

And don't get your hopes up, he's not coming back. The actor has been extremely bitter and salty in his remarks towards the show since his character's death. Does that sound like someone who has season 2 arc to you. :comeon:

According to the actor, he was initially told that he was going to be the Reverse Flash but the producers changed their minds at the last minute. From then on, he was nothing more than a lame ass love interest. The producers killed off his character because they felt like his storyline had run its course. He's NOT going to be Cobalt Blue.

The big "twist" for his character was that he was just a simp and nothing more.

:mjlol:

:ohhh: Come to think of that really is some 'cism. They never even really pushed that as a 'ship on the show. So making a whole tumbler around it is delusional & on some :mjpls:. Even Coli nikkas who shyt on Bedwenching all the time are rooting for Barry & Iris despite them being foster siblings.

EDIT:
:snoop: I just googled "SnowBarry"
