you know another thing that so stupid is with the tacheyon particle device he stole earlier on he couldnt build a time machine???? why steal barry's powers to do so???

remember this is 2015 .. he's from 2600 something... the tacheyon was very primitive. it was the very start of time travel. He was using it to charge his suit.... His suit is where he gets his real power from.

Dont forget we still have the treadmill in starlabs ...

but then he used the tacheyon to save firestorm

I think its partially the suit, barry broke it....

This is what I'm thinking. Hence why Wells needed the Tacheon generator and is encouraging Barry to get faster so he can harness the Speed Force in order to move fast enough to break the time barrier again.

We saw 2 things... the image inside the chamber was most likely a recording.. Wells also explained how he can leave a "reflection" behind.. think of it like the stars in our universe... we're seeing the light from years ago...
