If your Miami, you have to just say ok, green is not going to beat us along with the shooters, which means we're not going to help off the shooters no matter what. I would make a gimpy parker, and a 37 year old Duncan beat me if i'm the heat. Duncan would have to put up 40-20 and parker would have to score 35, but no one else is beating me, especially not these shooters shooting WIDE OPEN shots all game long.

You make green put the ball on the floor and he reminds us again why he's been cut multiple times and plays in the D league, you stick to his chest, switch everyscreen and cut off his air space.

Danny Green was shooting 35-40% from 3 in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs, he didn't all of a sudden turn into 96 Steve Kerr overnnight, it's miami's strategy of sagging off shooters which is leading to wide open shots. They're ball watching to much instead of watching their man.

Yeah that was surprising. I think Cole should be defending Green and TP needs a bigger body on him that can sneak in an elbow when TP drives. TP has always backed down when he takes a few hard hits.

Green needs somebody fast to force him out of position.

Not really because he relies on driving. Without a really great jumper and 3pt shot youre not going for 50 really. Only way you score 50 like that is if youre a big man who just gets force fed and has a go to move where it can just be flipped in.

Tony Parker is the go to scorer especially when pts are NEEDED but you cant expect him, with his game to go for 50.

thats always my theory. i remember playing ball with my boys in intramurals in college. there was always this one team that had two money shooters that would null our athleticism and ability to post guys up. never failed. we would lose in the semis EVERY SINGLE YEAR. knowing we were the better team. watching that 3ball drop from some unknown guy, since we're shutting down the KNOWN guys.

i start yellinG "NO THREES". dudes didnt get the hit the first 2 seasons we lost the same way every time. FOR THREEE,, FOR THREE.

until dudes got it into their heads. "NOOOO THREEEES"

once we did that. the other team had no idea what to do. sure they had 2 more serious players that could score. but it didnt matter. like you said. they knew they were not going to drop 50 a piece on us. we just killed off a good 15 to 20 by not allowing the shooters to get off. game over. we win by 10 every time.

but that took us 2 seasons as a team to figure it out. sure i figured it out after the 1st game it happened. but people are slow to adapt. its just to natural to cover the middle first then the 3 second.

My man. My thoughts exactly. Cole was getting shyted on so bad they went pointguardless. I read JPlaya's comment and was dying to respond back, but you covered it. And for real though, Parker blowing by Bron should be evidence enough that Tony, and the medical staff were about the hamstring.
