The fact remains, women have no good reason to wear weaves.

That's because white people told you that. In realty brown skin people from all over the world have wildly varying traits. White people decided what the image of a black/African person is. And y'all dudes don't know that you are trying to hold women to the other standards they made up.

Black/African women have been dying their hair for ages.

If my 7 year old daughter was to hear some of the nonsense you dudes spew, she's think she was "unnatural"

You are contributing to the negative body images and self esteem of our women, you are not helping them.

I didn't bring up anyone or say to go at anyone. Thats where yall falter, you feel you need to "go at" somebody or call them out. You can influnece real change without eoing either. There is a better way to go about influencing change then hateful language an misguided standards.
White people told me that? Dude this is 2013 not back in the days where we thought columbus discovered america. :snoop:

We all have varying traits but straight hair and blond hair is a mixed and white trait not a black one.

Dislike of natural hair is the issue. There are even women who look down on other women who choose to show their natural hair. Natural hair among black women is under oppression and your delusional ass cant even see it. :snoop:

Your daughter was born with straight hair naturally. We are reffering to females born with black hair.

Misguided standards? If promoting self acceptance is a bad thing then your delusional.

Yes I did hear about black women distaste of black males with natural hair during those times, if you wanna pretend like some doesnt exist then thats on you.

Black women went through the same time of black power just like the black men. Where black females with afros was popular and such. You thought black males only did it? :snoop:

That was the 70s. Processed hair from Black women AND men were still very much in in the 80s.

Well I look around and dont see much black males with blond hair. Even among celebs of today it isnt popular as this blond weave fad is. I am not saying that they are not wrong but there will always be self hating males out there and the aim is to keep it minimal which is what Im hoping happens here among black females because blond hair is actually getting popular and not minimal.

Like I said, you are making it so that the vast majority of self hating behavior is going to be Black women by default because it is only women of all races who do things like dye their hair. Its ridiculous. Self hate is you altering the natural curl pattern in your hair to something that its not. Black men do that ALL.THE.TIME. It is not a minority of Black men who do this, yet y'all act like y'all are exempt and not perpetrators of the same stuff you gleefully try to shyt on Black women for.

Well you could see it as self hate if you want and Id agree that it can be a case of self hate but women arent just putting grease in their hair so the comparison is off.

So if I could straighten my hair right now without any grease or chemicals, it would not be a reflection of some form of self hate?? If I did that consistently to make my hair look like biracials it'd be all good just because I didn't use weave and chemicals?? :childplease:

Stop pretending. It is about altering the uniquely African curl pattern (or getting rid of it entirely). It doesn't matter in what way it is done.

I don't hate black hair or how I look, but if black men were serious they would focus on nation building and create institutions to combat white supremacy all these symptoms of that will work themselves out. But I get it , its a lot easier to attack black women the victims of white supremacy, instead of the white man and his institutitions... especially if you depend on them so heavily

Its a lot easier to deflect blame on something else instead of your own community of sisters and starting in your own circle, huh?

I bet. :pachaha:

To be honest, i have a lot of white friends (due to me being a skateboarder) and i'm use to seeing a lot of flat butts when around white women of different ages. We are talking about normal white women you on the street, right? Also, black women in droves are getting butt injections now. Tanning, i can slightly agree with you, but you can't control the affect the sun can have on ones skin, especially white people. It's just doing it's job :yeshrug:
