The fact remains, women have no good reason to wear weaves.

Still haven't heard white women, or Asian say those EXACT same words but only to replace "straight" with Afro. If you see that THAT's not a big deal, then i don't know what to tell you black women. BLACK WOMEN DID NOT INVENT, OR COME UP WITH THE IDEA OF WEAVE, PERM AND RELAXERS. If you can't see that black women are the ONLY race that's wearing different hair on their head for months, then i don't know what to tell you, sweetheart.

:what: Why do they have to? I don't want Asian hair or white hair, I prefer my natural hair, I just like straight hair sometimes. I buy curly hair and straighten it because when the curly weave is straightened it looks exactly like my natural hair when it's straightened. :ehh: I don't care who invented it or whatever. I don't do perms or relaxers so I don't care about that.

Y'all have this silly idea that "black society" in America is somehow different or within a bubble excluded from American society.

It's not, our "culture" is a direct result of what we were taught when we where brought here. All of our ideas of what is attractive came from our experiences here in America. Cornrows, fades, waves are just as much "western" culture as weaves and relaxers are.

Natural hairstyles for black men would be dreads and Afros. That's it

Fades came along with the invention of the hair clippers. Before that nikkaz would use scissors. Waves is a hairstyle, which is unique to black people.

The majority of black men don't do things to emulate other races. :camby:

It's easy to find one picture. I could find a black male with the same damn style, what would that prove?

The relationship isn't based off of fakeness. Women just like to be versatile when it comes to our hair, our style, our makeup.

I'm still me at the end of the day but I'm going to enjoy trying different things. My SO will tell me if he loves it or hates it. I'm going to dye my hair a reddish brown in a few days, will that make me fake?
Versatile?

Im all for different things like dying your hair and such but when this "vesatility" looks like mimicking another race some red flags are raised.

80%of ya'll use the same logic, if not most of you would drive cars designed by black men, wear clothes designed by black men, wear watches designed in black men, visit and travel to countries run by black men, aspire to live in neighborhoods/nations control by black men, follow your own standard of beauty ... until then we are in the same boat
:what: its kinda hard to support industries and businesses that dont exist. goddamn you went full retard trying to defend them indian scalps

White women get Indian hair weaves as well. It's not about looking like a certain race, it's about looking like the women on TV.

And a lot of white women have to treat their hair in order to get the styles they see on TV as well
So you want to bring up looking like the women on the media?

Skinny white chicks is whats on the media. If they are trying to look like whats on the media then you have proved my point.

Where are the white women who are trying to look like black chicks? Def not on tv thats for sure in fact they are low in number.

White women wearing dreds, white women wearing afros. Where are they? :lupe:

White women wear weaves that are straighter than their hair, and they also wear weaves that are more curly then their hair. They also have a myriad of chemical options in order to get the desired texture. I work with an Indian girl who relaxes her hair just as much as a black woman cause otherwise it is too frizzy and difficult to manage.

Did this nikka just use "difficult to manage" & "white women" in the same sentence :dwillhuh: ??

I agree, see how simple that is. I'm not in denial about shyt. Black people have a crab in the bucket mentality.

How about them weaves though? :patrice:

What do black men do to their looks to look white? I'll wait.

The only sistas i see on television with a natural hairstyle is the black samurai woman from The Walking Dead and Inyala Vanzant.

The rest wear weave. I can understand that is a requirent to meet "white people standards", i'm not attacking them for that.

But the rest of the majority of women, even on continents without majority white people and they still wearing weave :mindblown:.
Once again straight hair =/= "looking white" plenty of black people have naturally straight hair, or hair that can be naturally straightened without perms/weave

If all you needed was "white hair" to be considered beautiful then white women would not spend so much money altering the look/ texture of their hair. There is a western standard of beauty that we all conform to, but we contribute to that standard just as much as we strive to meet it.

I dunno tho.
I mean yeah some black women do go after these traditionally European features like their hair.
But some white women go after traditionally black features like fuller lips and curves.

At the end of the day, you just have to go after what you find attractive.
And if you have children, just teach them to love themselves as they are...and not necessarily try to look like someone else.
