The fact remains, women have no good reason to wear weaves.

Calling people "she weave warriors" goes well beyond simply pointing something out. It would be much more productive to post a thread full of beautiful women with natural hair, or to express your affinity for natural hair to the women in your life. But these threads are just a chance for cacs and c00ns to talk down on black women.

Black men do all types of stupid shyt to fit in with society or find a mate. But it's just called "stupid shyt" as opposed to self hate.

Give examples :upsetfavre:

I wouldn't know, I don't pretend to know how everyone feels about themselves by the hairstyle they wear. For me, weave means nothing...at all. It doesn't change how I feel about my hair, I don't like it better than my hair. I don't prefer white hair over my hair or whatever yall try to say. It's just a hairstyle for me. I like straight hair and curly/kinky/coily hair, I use to straighten my hair but I don't like putting heat on my hair, so when I want straight hair I get weave that looks like my hair when it's straight. Then when I'm over the straight hair...I wear my natural hair. :yeshrug: It's really not as deep as you guys try to make it.

Still haven't heard white women, or Asian say those EXACT same words but only to replace "straight" with Afro. If you see that THAT's not a big deal, then i don't know what to tell you black women. BLACK WOMEN DID NOT INVENT, OR COME UP WITH THE IDEA OF WEAVE, PERM AND RELAXERS. If you can't see that black women are the ONLY race that's wearing different hair on their head for months, then i don't know what to tell you, sweetheart.

White women wear weaves and Asian women put both relaxers and texturizers in their hair.

In reality the average woman does not look like the western idea of beauty regardless of race. They all make alterations to themselves in order to look like that idea of Beauty.

I think it's because they can't 'fro' it. curly is about as far as their texture will allow.

Not equivalent to race breh.

Black men aren't doing shyt to be like other races of men.

Getting a weave has nothing to do with other races.

The average weave/wig/relaxed hairstyle on a black woman is not something that a white woman could do with their hair. No one goes into the store and says "Gimmie the white people looking hair"

If you want to attribute altering hair to meat societal standards to trying to look white, then you have to say the same for the things black men to do their looks as well. We didn't crate the standards, we are following the "white people standards" just like everyone else.

Ive heard many women get indian hair weaves so I dont know what rock you live under.

Straight hair is also something a white woman could do with her hair.

i really don't care as long as they don't talk to me about it and don't expect me to pay for it. Also it can't affect sex (i'll pull on your hair, don't give a fukk) or working out.
