Why is the sky blue and how does that relate to the earth being round?

OP, What would you say in regards to the NASA live streams done weekly by NASA? They are done live from space.

A non cgi or altered pic? Link please.

Did the Japan Meteorological Agency get into this hustle too?

They released a pic from their Himawari 8 weather satellite that shows exactly how the satellite saw the Earth. Pictures that are touched up are usually done so to reflect what our eyes would see. And yes, that bright spot above Australia is the sun's reflection

It's ridiculous how steadfast people can be in WRONG beliefs. The knowledge to even challenge facts properly aren't there.

Honestly, people that have these types of easily falsifiable beliefs are probably so used to doubling or even tripling down on them that they are just immune to even trying to hear the other side:yeshrug:

These are the types of people arguing for a flat earth brehs :deadrose:

He asked a question and I want to know why he thinks the sky being/appearing blue relates to the earth being round.

The wave length of colours we are able to perceive would act with other factors, the way light frim the sun is scattered and the layers of the atmosphere..., and it will be/appear blue to us. Animals that can or see in other spectrums see other colours, so who knows what colour it is to them.

What I want to know is how it helps us ascertain the shape of the earth.

What colour is the sky to colourblind people?

My assist to Black was like some Kyrie Irving's shyt...:ohlawd:

The atmosphere, our air, is a gas. When light goes through it, it scatters our star's wavelengths - creating our perception of color.

When it is directly above the observer, it makes the sky appear blue.

When it is at the horizon, a significantly greater angle from the observer, blue wavelengths have to travel a further distance so by the time it reaches the eye of the observer it's scattered all around and leaves the red wavelength...Which is a longer wavelength.

Now, you could say this is fake but this area of science and color wavelengths is proven by the use of a color prism like this one...

That science is probable by looking at your children's toy box and finding one of these and understanding wavelengths and the ROYGBV color refractions.

Matter of fact... The Coli's set up of which color you want your font to be is structured along the ROYGBV color scale... Check it out when you're writing your reply.

This nikka might through out his kid's science set now.:mjlol::mjlol:

@Rasputia Latimore

do you have any actual evidence for thinking the earth is flat?
It seems your only reasoning is a) "the bible says so", b) "going against common theory/evidence because they're liars"

Well in the FE model the earth is under a "dome/firmamemt". So one could argue that we look at the sky straight up and its blue when the sun is overhead but appears redish when its closer to the curved side/horizon of the dome?

Lol. I have no idea how the sunrise and sunset are explained in a FE scenario. But this does not completely explain away a flat earth theory, a staunch supporter would see this as maybe supporting the FE view.
