I think Blacks would do best to stay away from identity politics. We have to navigate in an apolitical manner because while the right does dog whistle with racial rhetoric, the left tends to marginalize us and dilute our issues into other interest groups. We end up aligning with things that don't serve us or even are malignant to us under the guise of social progress.

We are socially conservative but we don't want other groups of people to suffer. America needs Blacks to illustrate compassion, but there needs to be reciprocity.

BTW I'd argue against the idea that the people who voted for Trump are all racist. Some folks that voted for Obama or wanted Bernie in office ended up voting for Trump.

Perhaps Trump's America will help working class Blacks which is the majority of us. Lemons into lemonade I say.

Trump's America won't even help working class Whites, much less Black people if he go through with his policy plan. Him having that BOER Elon in his ear and in charge of government regulation all but seals it. He will purge federal jobs many of which are held by Black people.
