off first impression, not as good TDK, about even with Batman Begins
definitely the most epic and entertaining of the trilogy but also had the worst script. a lot of the plot holes were especially when you compare it to how tight and well-thought out the plot for Batman Begins was. I actually feel the same way about Return of the King which this movie reminded me a lot of
I think Nolan was so focused on creating the most epic movie possible that he got pretty sloppy with the script. it's probably the most well-directed movie Nolan has made but also the worst-written
Acting was great across the board. This was Bale's best performance in the series, Anne Hathaway did her thing, and Hardy killed it. a lot of people are hating on his voice but I thought it was dope how this huge, brolic looking monster spoke in such a refined and calm way, dope contrast. plus that beat down he laid on Bats was epic. and those scenes with Alfred (esp. telling him the truth about Rachel) was probably the best acting done in the series besides Heath Ledger.
only weak link acting wise was the girl who played Marion/Talia. plus I think the story was at its weakest when it revolved around her. it was a cool twist at the end but it felt forced. I think Bane did more than enough on his own to handle the villain role and I don't like how he just ended up being her heartbroken bodyguard at the end. Nolan tried to make Bane sympathetic when I think it would've been more effective if he was just an evil muthaphucka the whole time
I have mixed feelings about the ending. I don't have a problem with where Nolan went with it but I feel like it could've been executed better. having Blake as Robin was too forced. also I was cool with Batman faking his own death but the scene could've been edited way better to at least make it more apparent that he escaped in time
if it seems like I'm nitpicking its only because I hold Nolan to a higher standard based on his resume. overall, like I said, this was the most entertaining of the trilogy and I'll def see it again. but it wasn't the best
also, how the fuck did Bruce get back to Gotham? its crazy to me how Nolan could be so obsessed with explaining and showing how everything worked in the first two films yet in this one he doesn't even bother to explain how Bruce managed to make it back from wherever he was to Gotham when the whole city was cut off....
that sh1t was put on autopilot, and batman got out way before it went off
Dude's suit can with stand explosions and bullets but can't stop a knife............Lucius you got some splaining to do
Ras talking to bruce was really Bruce figuring out shyt on his own, he just used Ras as an output for his thoughts after connecting the dots.
and another thing batman was a terrible detective in this movie. I figured out who was snitiching in the crew half way through the movie but it caught batman by surprise. p*ssy i tell yeah.
Don't trust a big butt and a smile
Just saw it...not even one of the best super heroes movies i've seen
its truly one of the best movies i've ever seen period. holy fukking shyt. tell me you didn't go when they revealed JGL's full name. I damn near shyt myself son. I blurrted out "I KNEW IT!" and everyone in the theater started crackin up
I thought they were gonna kill off bale and have the batman suit passed down to JGL or sum shyt, but when they revealed his true identity, i was
what a fantastic fukking movie. 10/10. absolutely bodied the avengers. there's not even an argument to be had there.
I thought Blake was Nightwing the whole movie.
This is another Inception style ending. Him being dead or alive is not made clear. It's hinted at both ways so take it how you wanna take it.
