Watt was more of a linebacker than a traditional edge rusher. We were looking for a edge rusher. We was never taking Watt cause we weren't looking for linebackers.
Also if Watt had come here he would have been another scrub cause Peg Leg was an AWFUL coach. We'd be talking about him the same way we talk about LVE. We would have had him dropping back in coverage half the time trying to be the next Snake Lee.

Yall must have forgot that dlaw was coming off back surgery that off season. Remember that picture in with the dress shirt and his gut sticking out. We were preparing ourselves to not having dlaw on the roster
On top of that you had David Irving coming off his breakout year and they must of felt that they can use someone like taco who they felt had similar size (taco ended up being smaller than irving) with a better motor.
Also Mcclay been walking back that watt vs taco pick cause if you recall he rightfully so insinuated that it was Marinelli who pounded the table for taco. But In my opinion will gotta stay neutral and eat the sh!t cause it devalue the coaches opinion vs the scouts and they say they try to keep it balanced during the draft.
