North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I asked this a couple years ago but he's drafted well. The FA decisions is on the Jones'

Did he really? :patrice:

2016- Zeke, Jaylon

2017- Taco, Chido

2018- LVE, Connor Williams

2019- Trysten Hill

2020- Ceedee, Trevon

2021- Micah, Bossman

Drafting aside, he’s still in charge of player personnel. He gives the Jones family advice on who to sign. Even if it’s with a shoe string budget. The Jones family negotiates the contracts, but it’s really on McClay to actual sell why he thinks it will work.

Amari is a top 3 route runner in the league. He would put up those same numbers Davante did if he played with a capable passer and offense. Y’all forget he put up a great year in a season where he played with 4 different QBs.

Just cause you run great routes it don't make you a great receiver.

Dude doesn't show up for half the games...

Pick any random cowboys game and go to the last 5 minutes and you just as likely to see Coop on the sideline rubbing tennis balls on his body as you are to see him making a catch that matters...

Dak tied for 4th in the league with Rodgers for touchdown passes but Coop 21st for touchdown catches? Something not adding up.

Dak 7th in the league for passing yards but Coop not even top 30 for receiving yards? Something not adding up.

Dalton fukking Schultz has more catches AND as many touchdowns as Amari Cooper? Nah. Can't co-sign that.

He did put up a monster 2020 year...and we won 6 fukking games...cause you know...repeatedly throwing the ball to Amare is not going to get you W's like that...

I mean does McClay ACTUALLY get to pick these players? When we drafted Micah was everybody in the war room looking at McClay like "so who's it going to be" I doubt it.

I don't blame him for Taco. That pick was only made because Randy couldn't get on the field.

I also don't blame him for Trysten. All stories point to Peg Leg saying that is the player he wanted.

I don't blame him for Jaylon, since that was absolutely a Jerry pick thinking he was getting a steal.

The Taco pick was awful. Him and Marinelli didnt think he would be effective with his hand in the dirt.

Set us back at least 5 years. Imagine this defense with Micah and TJ Watt on it

then it means he doesn’t really have any influence. He’s a glorified scout who is overpaid to stay in Dallas. Either that or he’s a yes man with no nuts and doesn’t stand up to the Jones family. Period.

Especially when your QB is always over and under throwing you all the damn time. :scust:
