Who do you want in place of McClay? Because realistically, if McClay is gone, you're fine with Jerry and Stephen doing all the picking, because that's what's going to happen. Look at the drafts before McClay got here to get a taste of what will come if McClay left.

McClay is VP of Player Personnel. He works with Stephen in scouting players that are already in the league. He makes the recommendation to Stephen in which players to go after in FA. Stephen is the one that does the negotiating and handles the contracts.
With that said, im not blaming Will McClay at all with what is going on with FA (this season). Cap Boy and his daddy clearly only want to build through the draft so he has no control over the spending aspect of FA
Yeah I knew Will McClay probably also scouted Free Agents & recommended FAs to Jerry, Stephen, & the head coach. What I meant in previous post is McClay has nothing to do with the actual negotiating & signing of Free Agents.

Dallas must have a directive that compels them not to pay for free agents no matter what. Unless they are a wide receiver, and only after they trade for them.

And why would you? Why would you play for an organization who for over 20 years has done a bunch of nothing?
Why would you want to play for an owner who will go onto a radio station and talk about stuff that is going on in position meetings?
