Why not just watch another award show if you don’t like the style of this one? Why does Geoff gotta change the format of the biggest, most successful award show to fit your needs?

And Geoff Keighly doesn’t decide who wins awards. You was in the thread watching it along with everyone else, having a blast.

Yall do the same thing with popular games. You run out and buy them, and then spend the next month criticizing them and acting like you’r above playing them after the fact

I watch it because the show has exclusive news and trailers, that's all it boils down to.

It would be cool if the awards part of the show was you know, actually good.

I mean would it kill him to actually get the awards part of the game awards correct at the very least?

Let's not act like I ain't been complaining about TGA though. I've been complaining about and hating on geoff for this and being a fanboy for years now.

It's just that this year was so good for gaming people actually wanted to hear from those who won awards, and questioned certain things like why 3rd party games are winning best indie.

No one actually cares about the awards, even for other big award shows like the Grammys or Oscars. The most ratings those events get is when there is drama behind it. Which is why they’ve been falling in viewership every year.


In order to get people to care about the awards you gotta give them somethign else they really want to see. It’s why people who don’t watch the NFL still all watch the Super Bowl like it’s a national holiday. People want the singing, the half time show, the commercials and trailers, etc.

You will never get the common consumer to genuinely care about other people recieving awards. you can complain about the awards all you want, but at the end of the day you are tuning in to watch over 3 hours of it, unlike other awards.

it is what it is. gamers need to be abit more open minded and less judgmental. that judgmental shyt will take years off of your life man I'm telling you. especially if its little shyt. but i also didnt watch live. there's only a few things that im watching live these days.
