For all the praise BG3 was getting, it's kinda surprising to see at least one of the bigger champions of it be so blase about them not even being able to properly honor their dead coworker and appreciate their 6 year journey.

Idk how you see that and look at the muppet thing like the latter was deserving of more screen time. It's just weird. Even ol boy had to come and say he couldn't announce the BG3 Xbox release, presumably because of the time limit.

I literally posted a video where they're getting hit with the big ass "please wrap it up sign" before they even touch on the devs death. If you're gonna go "overtime" on something, I would do it for a coworker's death than a release on a new console

Yea I mean this is an independent production I’m sure if they had a producer they had experience they would not have done that.

Also if I’m being honest that little musical number they did before hand could have been trimmed down or cut all together. Seems like they cared more about the spectacle than the actual awards. Which is reason 163944794 why we shouldn’t put too much stock into who actually wins these things

I have seen the Jeff Grubb and friends trying to shyt on the show before even it started. I think there is definitely some animosity against him by current people no matter what. But I also think the criticism on the amount of time the speeches were given is totally fair. This is a show about everything that was accomplished in the current year and that should be the main focus. This also gives Geoff a good opportunity to have more reveals in his Summer show rather that show being pretty mid.

They need to tighten up the pacing and/or let devs/award winners talk longer. Doesn't make any sense to have a 3 hour show and you're rushing the people you're honoring off the stage.

The reveals are the draw of the show so that's fine. But some (most) of that shyt didn't need reveals this early. Like that Kojima game. If you ain't got game play
