There is also less physical room for growth.

Tons of infrastructure yet to be built down in the A and much bigger gains to make on land when that happens given the lower COL.

Throw in COL + job diversity + culture + entrepreneurship and it really isn't close.

I dont know much about their burbs but when I was in DC for Christmas my girls brother stays in the burbs and it seemed disconnected from DC compared to say ATL where being in 20-30 minutes away from City Limits you don't feel that disconnected. I know there are other areas in the DMV that have central business districts but once again they all deal with Government, and imo not having a diverse economy is not good at all. DC seems like a city where people brag about having good jobs (all in 1 sector pretty much) while a City like ATL you have high earning people in a wide range of areas. DC is like Silicon Valley to me where if anything happens to their bread and butter industry (Govt for DC, Tech for SV) the whole city is in shambles.

Boston probably won't seem bad if you're from the deep South or a rural area with lots of rednecks. Being from the south, loudmouth cacs don't really scare me. We carry the steel, so I'm not worried if Patrick O'Grady tries to start some mess:ufdup:

Provide stats bro..would love to see.. I’d agree in D.C, like the actually district may lack physical growth but plenty of surrounding counties are still expanding at great rates.

This is a metric I found on sprawl https://smartgrowthamerica.org/app/uploads/2016/08/measuring-sprawl-2014.pdf

DC is in the 90s, the A is in the 200s out 220 or so metros.

The A has a lot of unused space mainly because we don't have the level of transit a place like the DMV has....but that also raises the upside whenever it does get expanded.

The difference between DC and Silicon Valley is the government cannot fail so DC always suffers less from recessions......and in the event that the government fails, the whole US would suffer as much or more than DC. also with that said,, there is plenty of non government jobs and industries in the DMV....DC area has been experiences large scale gentrification and job growth because of greater diversification of industries.

I would disagree that DC suburbs are disconnected....depends where you are....if you are inside the Beltway (equivalent to ATL's perimeter, you aren't disconnected)

I've been to DC a ton but not the burbs. We went to Waldorf and Silver Springs, and Waldorf at least felt like another world.

NYC - ATL-MIA
Miami number 9:ehh:

Idk how Miami made that list. :russ:

I feel as if Miami is heavily slept on but can be a cheat code if your black and have your shyt together.

And by together i mean have a clear career path and education to match. Coming from nyc the COL is better, the weather is better, the woman are :banderas:. Yeah i know the cubans run miami but if you dont mind them its lit. Miami has a brain drain and a lot of flaky people so if your educated you can eat.

Denver is good for blacks huh? I've been trying to find a new place to move. Colorado seems like the GOAT
denver is nice the people are friendly and the weather isn't too bad, it has more of a mixed/open vibe there's not black 'culture' per se but yo will come across black people of varying backgrounds
