Respect.

Heres a question though, if 2 teams play a vastly different style of basketball should we "expect" the calls to be "even" both ways?

The warriors lead the nba in 3pt attempts this past season with 43 attempts a game. The lakers were 25th in the league with 31 attempts.

On the flip side, the lakers were 1st in the league in free thrpw attempts at 27 a game. The warriors were dead last 20.

Not only that, the Lakers were also 1st in the league in not giving up free throws on the other end. While the Warriors were 6th from last.

This was the perfect series to set up the biggest free throw discrepancies ever. The extreme of a small jump shooting team that can't draw fouls inside and can't defend bigs/drivers without fouling against a tall, athletic team that forces the issue inside and can block shots from little ground-bound guards without fouling.

You mean the "perfect series" to set up the discrepancy of calls/non-calls like this:

All this emphasizes is the Lakers have been getting away with fouling more than any other team, and getting calls in their favor on lighter contact than every other team.

I don't know how this escapes y'all comprehension.

No better reflection of this than an undrafted white boy coming outta nowhere and getting a 2006 DWade Finals whistle during the regular season. That's how the refs have been treating the Lakers players. On any other team he gets treated like a scrub by the refs and then fades into obscurity. I don't think there's any grand conspiracy behind this all (at least, I hope there's not), I just think there's been a perfect storm that has allowed the Lakers to benefit from officiating to this degree.

As an unbiased watcher who doesn’t care….LA having nearly 40 free throws while GS has half of that is ridiculous. LA fans would be tight if that was reversed. Hopefully GS gets 30 FT shots one game while LA gets 9 FT shots so they can see how it feels.
:duck:

I been peeped all the posts you dapping on here :pachaha:

Yeah, we WOULD be tight because of our play style dummy

What don’t you nikkas get about the Lakers not being a jump shooting team that takes the ball to the rack or midrange more often than not?

LeBron lives in the paint and he has subsequently taken LESS free throws every single year starting from 2011. Should we complain about that? Dude gets hit every single drive and like clockwork, he has to complain for a call because he’s not getting them.

You just forgot the string of games the Lakers got hoe’d on gamechanging non-calls, huh?

Let us play one-on-one and let me hit you the amount of times Bron gets hit, you’d be ready to throw hands.

The Warriors were DEAD LAST IN FTAs BECAUSE THEY ARE A SOFT FINESSE JUMPSHOOTING TEAM.

When Stephen Wardell Curry is your best driving attacker, how the fukk do you expect to get to the line? Retarded ass nikka:martin:

What about that push off call on Klay where Vanderbilt flopped? That shyt was egregious

Because that was a foul :why:

Why are you nikkas going OD like this :why:

The Lakers are getting calls because they are the more physical team. And even though the Warriors been fouling rampantly the real reason they lost is because 3 out of their 4 leading scorers played like shyt. No team is gonna win under those circumstances...

I don't think you understand how foul calls work. This isn't like a casino award that randomly comes up every 4th time you take a shot. You have to actually do things to draw fouls.

Warriors were the worst team in the entire NBA at drawing fouls and one of the worst at fouling for very obvious reasons.
