The casual way in which Mace Windu murked Jango Fett doesn't get the appreciation it deserves

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
What he told a young Boba Fett on Clone Wars was Gangsta too..

Boba: “I’ll NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR KILLING MY FATHER :damn: :pacspit:!!!!”

Mace: “Hmm...well you going to have too. :birdman:

Boba: :to:

Anakin's :rudy: reaction to that comment always seems to go unnoticed. "Someone really needs to cut that motherfukker's hand off down the road."

Only reason that scene doesn’t get more love is because it’s episode 2.

I also think his death in episode 3 was uncharacteristic of him. I was okay with him dying, but not that way.

I thought the way Mace died made for an interesting parallel with the Return of the Jedi.

In both movies Anakin finds himself faced with a choice while Palpatine is attacking a Jedi with force lightning. Either save the Jedi, or side with Palpatine. The first time he went with Palpatine, but in RotJ he did the right thing and stood up to the emperor.

What’s even better is that in both situations, Anakin switched sides out of love for his family. He turned to the dark side to save Padme, and he returned to the light to save Luke.

(This is why force healing lowkey doesn’t make any sense imo. What’s the point of Anakin turning evil if he could have learned how to heal people from the Jedi? He could have done a late night cram session or two in the Jedi temple library and Padme would have been good.

Man, I could go on for hours about all the lore breaking trash there was in the sequels.

I'm rewatching the Clone Wars series with a friend who hasn't seen it before Obi Wan starts and the Mace action scenes are always dope.

I got Mace above everybody in the prequels. Jedi/Sith power rankings for me (not including Force powers)

Mace
Anakin (pre Mustafar)
Palpatine
Yoda
Dooku
Kenobi
Maul
Qui Gonn
Ashoka Tano (adult/rebels)
Asajj Ventress
Savage Oppress

Am I missing anybody?

Man Disney slow stepping on that High Republic series I need that expeditiously if we arent gonna get an Old Republic series

Edit: might have Ashoka above Qui Gonn if were keeping it real

is there anyway mace could of survived that fall?
There's a million things he could have used the Force to grapple onto on the way down to slow down or completely stop his descent. The issue is that he would have never been incognito for the decades since, so I don't see a viable route for return.

True. Though surely Palpatine would have gone all out to find the body/confirm his death. Don't know if they've ever mentioned that in subsequent stories. Would seem to be pretty important.

Someone like Palpatine is not about to have one of the most powerful Jedi left unaccounted for. Especially since he hadn't killed him with the lightning and he knows that Jedi can land after falling from high distances. He certainly would have obsessively tried to confirm he was dead.
